Borla Atak Catback exhaust tips sticking together

Hey Guys,

I recently installed a borla Atak catback exhaust (active valve)on my s650 GT. Sounds amazing and no drone. But few days ago I noticed the exhaust tips are sticking together on left and right side is about to be same. Worst thing it’s starting to rattle now and I’m not able to clean the debris between them and can’t pull them apart after loosening the bolts too. Have reached out to Borla customer service hopefully they have a fix. Paying close to $3000 for an exhaust system this wasn’t expected. Local shop helped with setup said it’s manufacturing issue.
Pls don’t mind the debris on exhaust tips cleaned it yesterday but cosof snow whenever I drive this is really impossible to clean lol.
Anyone experienced this or any idea how to fix it?

Based solely o the photos, I agree that is too close. I have a Borla made, Ford supplied exhaust on my Ranger. I too was worried about the closeness, but the Ranger setup is about 1/4 inch, not 1/16 like the photo shows.

I would wait until Borla responds. If there is no fix, worst case scenario you can try to forcefully separate them about 5 mm using some kind of tool.

I have the Ford/Borla Extreme AVE exhaust system on my car. The tips are very close together, and are difficult to clean. I haven't noticed any rattles. The tips on my Z06's were separated slightly and I could get a microfiber between them to clean them.

Just got response from Borla saying “tips are at correct distance and are not going to move closer together”. I’m like WTH the tips are already stuck together what you mean by not going to move any closer?

It has all 4 modes. I pretty much live in track mode though. There is no drone so it's not really necessary to suppress the fun

Quick update on Borla issue.. this is their response now(attached pic). So I’m starting to think I got the faulty one. What you guys think? Should I just return n get refund is that possible? Cos paying $3k for faulty product isn’t acceptable.

I was debating bw Corsa Extreme and Borla Atak and chose Borla. I should’ve went with Corsa

I installed an h-pipe and I love it and I also live in track mode as soon as I start, I hit track.

Compared to stock track these are Night and Day difference. Much louder.
