Do u remember what, if any, additional horsepower the police car had versus stock and what was upgraded to achieve the increase?I stumbling through some old photos and found these. Circa 1986 and I had two years on the road. Loved the dog dish hubcaps.

As I recall no increase in hp. We always had the public believing the 5.0 had more power than the public’s version. It did have improved cooling, electrical system and suspension. The lx body style was also lighter. They had manual trans and a 3:08 rear end for improved top speed and good acceleration. No radio (considered a distraction from hearing radio calls).. We circumvented that by sneaking in our personal radios.
