Do u remember what, if any, additional horsepower the police car had versus stock and what was upgraded to achieve the increase?

As I recall no increase in hp. We always had the public believing the 5.0 had more power than the public’s version. It did have improved cooling, electrical system and suspension. The lx body style was also lighter. They had manual trans and a 3:08 rear end for improved top speed and good acceleration. No radio (considered a distraction from hearing radio calls).. We circumvented that by sneaking in our personal radios.
