Left work today and my infotainment screen was blacked out, meaning I can’t control my AC. It’s 101 today. Also, Auto hold system fault is displayed. Anyone ever have this issue? I have had the same issue with the audio in apple CarPlay that most have had, but this is completely different.

It is a known issue by Ford cause I got a letter from them saying I needed to call to set up an appointment for them to service the car. The notice stated:
Due to an error in the SYNC software, you may experience SYNC system instability concerns and/or failure to preserve certain settings across ignition cycles.
This may result in a black infotainment screen (although it does not affect the rear view camera), incorrect language setting, and/or erased or unsaved radio presets.

it’s a reach... but I lost the sync cluster once in my Raptor, was headed back from the range, I put in about 10 minutes trying to get it to start but no joy. Drove home in silence. Resigned myself to a stealership visit. Came out the next morning to replicate, get pictures, video, etc. but it fired right up. It has never done it again, going on 7.5 years now.

You could try pulling the battery power for a few minutes and reconnecting, or if you have FORSCAN you could connect and get codes. Sometimes clearing a reasonably benign code will get your functionality back.

Hello, I would like to see if I can assist you with your screen concerns. Could you please send us a message with your VIN and mileage?

Thanks for the reply. I haven’t received a letter yet but I do have a recall and a letter will be coming soon. But that is for the brake control module. I looked it up and there is nothing about the infotainment screen. Thanks again

Thanks for the reply, mine hasn’t come back on, might try disconnecting the battery. Thanks again

Do you have FORSCAN? definitely worth having, as you can pull and clear codes among other nice things.

I agree you can do that with forscan, but we really shouldn't have to. Js

Nock on wood, I haven't had many issues with my car. If I did I have access but many don't. It sucks paying a lot of money for a car and having these issues. Hopefully you all get it squared away.
