Automatic Update Installed recall fix (24C35/24V802)?

Started my 24 GT premium this weekend (4/26) and the software update list in the car now shows the recall for the black screen (24C35/24V802) has been completed. Looks like it loaded the fix via automatic updates. Anyone else get that message without having to take it in for service? Note the Ford Pass app still shows the recall is needed, so not sure what to believe.

Took mine in for the recall and the dealership told me it was already completed via automatic update so they just gave the car right back to me.

But likewise, my FordPass app is still showing that I need to take it in for the recall... so I don't know how to get rid of that.

I believe the stealership has to enter it for Fordpass to be updated.

How did you know the recall was complete exactly? It told you when you turned on the car? Or did you have to go into the update page?

when I still had automatic updates enabled, it came in and applied all on its own and announced on the sync screen at next startup.

I’m pretty sure mine was completed over a month ago if I remember correctly. Another update about the abs breaking system has since been done as well. I just called the dealer to find out and they said I need to bring the car in to be sure. I’m pretty sure that’s BS and I challenged her about that but that’s all she could tell me. What a surprise.

I talked to my dealership this morning about the recall not clearing after the OTA update. They said it is a 5 hour update...

My car said it updated over the air. Took it to ford dealership and they also updated it to. 2 days later started car and speakers made loud popping noise and no music at all just a pop every time I turned volume up or down. So I restarted the car same thing happened. So I had to unhook battery for 20 minutes and it never has done it again. But I figure the update caused that problem.
