That'a the whole issue. People were talking about the S550 AND the S650 and you said they don't have it for BOTH.

What was your basis to claim this? Nothing. You did not even had an S650 as you said. So why talk about something you don't know and act like you know?
Why are you so hell bent on arguing over silly stuff? You seem to delight in splitting hairs and correcting people here. At the end of the day it's just a car forum and were all here to enjoy these cars. Take it down a notch and lighten up dude.

I have auto folding mirrors on my 2025.5 here in the UK. Lock the car, they fold away. Unlock the car they open up. Automatic. Folding. Mirrors.

There’s also a button on the arm rest to fold them in or out as you choose.

There is an option called ‘automatic folding mirrors’ to toggle them on/off in the vehicle settings screen.

Hope this helps.

Understood.

For reasons that are neither here nor there, my impression had been that non-US spec Mustangs also did not get power folding mirrors. I know now that is false.

Just tossing that out there for record's sake since I was directly quoted saying that they don't exist on the Mustang.

But honestly, there are bigger fish to fry... can we all just let this thread die and move on?

There seems to still be some confusion here......

Power folding mirrors and auto folding mirrors are not the same thing.

Power folding mirrors were fitted to the S550 in Europe but they did not auto fold on lock, they only folded if you pressed the button

S650 mirrors auto fold on lock here in Europe as well has having a button to power fold on demand.

All the EU specs have power mirrors (that's due to our parking space "issues" :bandit: ) S550 and S650, and as mentioned in the previous post, in the S650 you got the option (that you can disable in the settings) to auto-fold/unfold em as standard feature (auto-folding).
The other peculiar difference is that with the auto-folding mirrors, you get the "tilted/rotated" puddle lights, that will work only with the mirrors folded (as approach lights) when the auto-folding option is set to "ON".

But to add more salt to this thread, in my S550 (Bullitt) in more than a occasion the mirrors have folded automatically! And I never figured how it happened or how to activate this behavior (in example if you leave your turning signal ON while turning off the vehicle...), although on those rare occasions, on unlocking the car they didn't unfolded automatically.

I found folding mirors an absolute necessity in some small Italian streets😰

I wouldn't even drive those streets if it's that small to have your mirrors folded to go through.

We had no choice, Google maps can be problematic in Italy.
The car was not a Mustang luckily. It was a fully insured rental = indestructible.

That's an exaggeration, I regularly drive my Mustang in suburban areas, and in small villages with tiny roads, I never found a situation where I had to close the mirrors to clear the space, I mean I would be worried for anything else at that point. But for parking, that's another story, they are tiny (and in Spain is not different), however even if you close the mirrors the issue is about the other cars hitting your doors :) ...so I rarely leave my car parked in those places when I travel, only in insured garages where they park the cars themselves (hence they have no interest to damage it, since they will end to pay for the damage).

It was in Cefalu, one of the streets just below the Rocca, Viccolo Anonimo I think, Google showed it as a through road, it wasn't. I literally had to fold the mirrors to get to a place I could turn in.
Possibly not common, but we did see similar ones in Ercolano.
I guess you'd get used to it if you drove there all the time. (I wish)

Yeah, Ercolano, but also the Amalfi coast and such.. there's "scary" places when you have very little space to pass (surely not considered the standard), you get used of it if you live there... but closing the mirrors to pass would have been a scaring experience even for who lives there. :) ...not the normality tho.
