Maybe , because the Euro Mirrors have a Larger Housing, there's more room for the added Folding Motors and Actuators.

Nope. Mine are good old USA mirrors and they fold like they're playing poker.

Can you show me your mirrors? Because auto fold mirrors are bigger than the USA mirrors.

This is a Standard US Shape Side Mirror Housing. Yours appears to have more of a Triangular Peak on the Inboard Side while the US has more of a Rectangular Parallel Top and Bottom.

That's a EU mirror. They are bigger than the US. The shape is also different.

70cm wide? And 45cm high?

I know the EU mirrors are bigger but..
You know how big that is? Almost as big as your wheels 🤣

There are so many threads on this....

European mirrors (used in ROW as well) are larger and have autofold on lock. This is NOT the same as just electric folding mirrors by pressing the button. They cannot be fitted to US cars.

With the European door harness and some forscan they can be fitted.

Was thinking the same thing about a separate Harness and Memory Seat for the Passenger.
I had made a topic when I changed my side mirrors and we found out that there are 5 different door harnesses

Base harnes
Premium harnes
401A harnes
ROW harnes
Unknown not used harnes

Also a Harness for Convertibles that have the Extra Switches to Raise and Lower the Rear Windows.

Are you sure that's not an Italian mirror? Whatsa behinda is nota importante.
Funny how they did Euro mirrors for us on a US import car.

Its because the US mandates for side mirrors are different. Only our passenger side mirror is convex and you Kiwi's drive on the wrong side of the road.
