I used my staple, NV Snow to wash our other car this weekend. Can I just say, what a lovely shampoo that is. I have Reset, Lift, Descale and GSF. All of those are great, but when it comes to lubrication and smell they are not better than the cheaper NV Snow option at all in my view.

You should really find out if you can get an affiliate link or code or something like that that we can use to get you some sort of commission or payment @DFB5.0

I just dropped $350 at Waxit!

I use this sale as an opportunity to restock on bulk products, especially Carpro and NV brands. If you haven't tried Carpro Reset before due to the premium price, now is the time to discover its brilliance. It's also a good time to stock up on iron remover, which are usually a premium priced product, in my case NV Purify as it's the best value out there. This would include iron-remover wheel cleaners like Purge.

Detailing Shed usually launch their sale closer to the actual Black Friday, which is November 29th this year. Waxit have been getting in early for this sale for a couple of years now.

Agreed only reason I’m using those 2 companies is because of dfb

I've been a Waxit customer since the store opened. Looking at my account, I have invoices dating back to June 2014, but I think I was customer before that. When I joined and started contributing to their Facebook group, I think they sat up and took notice.

Sean from Waxit ended up contacting me about two years ago, thanking me for my advocacy and contributions to both the group and via the other platforms I post on. He then gave me trade account pricing despite not being a detailing business. There was some talk about being sent products to beta test, mainly because their usual avenue for that focusses on the city environment, which ultimately skews product longevity and results. So, being in a country area would have provided a different set of numbers. Sadly, nothing came of that.

I've always said that I make no money from detailing, other than the occasional paid detail for a family member or friend. I also write the odd article for Detailing Shed. But that income goes straight back into product. I'm also not pursuing Youtube revenue or banking on companies sending me free stuff. I just buy what grabs me, then share my experiences, both good and bad
So, having a Waxit trade account is nice, I like to think it helps them with advertising, and helps me continue indulging in product testing.

@DFB5.0 Would NV Purge replace the need for Brake Buster?
No.

Brake Buster is great because it can clean both wheels AND tyres. It's an alkaline based cleaner that also contains corrosion inhibitors. It also foams really well. For tyres, never dilute it. For wheels, I use it undiluted in a foam cannon, or you can dilute to 10:1 in a pump foamer or spray bottle.

Purge is a pH neutral wheel cleaner that is designed to break down iron particles and brake dust. It's virtually useless for cleaning tyres, so you would then need a separate product for that. That's not to dismiss Purge, its probably the best of its type on the market. For us in Australia, its also extremely well priced.

This is Purge cleaning a set of wheels that were neglected, I didn't even touch the wheel, just sprayed, allowed to soak, then rinsed. I did follow with Brake Buster and brushes, but it shows the capability of the product. (Yes, I allowed a Holden in my driveway)

Unless the car is a daily, for the most part, you really won't need an iron remover type wheel cleaner all that often. I use Purge for neglected wheels, or as an occasional deep clean reset. I don't even use Brake Buster on the Mustang's wheels, mainly because they are coated, and I wash regularly. In which case, I just use soap from my foam cannon that will also go on the paint.

Looks like detailing shed have launched their sale

Black Friday Sale 2024 - Detailing Shed
Came here to post the same!

Full disclosure, I have a small connection to DS, a relationship built over many years, again I was one of their very first customers.

As I have learnt more and more of the business story, the more and more I respect what they have achieved. Nick started the business as a side hustle, it built and built till he had to quite his day job and go full time. When I bought my first Kranzle, Nick was on the phone the next day to run through the purchase one on one. Where a lot of businesses shut shop at 5pm and go home, they are there shipping orders WELL beyond that. That's why your order gets shipped so quick, hard work and long hours.

I mention all this because their work ethic is second to none, they have earnt their success via hard work. I respect that a LOT.

Based on my experience I couldn’t agree more, and they will be getting future business from me

The bulk of my purchases are made via Detailing Shed and Waxit, between the two, they have me covered for just about everything. Detailing Shed in particular, I love the huge variety of products and brands, as well as not being afraid to introduce new items to keep things fresh.

The exception to that will be if I need something not offered by those two, or if they are out of stock.

AutoBuff is one of them. I love the fresh store layout, great range of products, and they are the only local retailer selling Tarminator. Customer service is great too, even replying on a Sunday.

I was also buying microfiber from CarCareCo, they are the Australian Rag Company distributor. But their customer service and communication is woeful, the webstore dim witted and dated, and the towel product range has shrunk over the last 12 months too.

Prime Finish is one of the smaller outfits, their main business centers around high-end paint corrections, ceramic coatings and PPF installation. They carry the usual suspects, but are the only company selling Microfiber Madness in Australia, of which I'm using the IncrediBrush Flat, Chipmunk Jr. and DeliPad.

There are countless others, but those are my main haunts.

Hey @DFB5.0 with the car being detailed with Gyeon products they are saying I need to use the following as maintenance products, otherwise you risk voiding the warranty :)

GYEON Q2M Foam
GYEON Q2M Bathe
GYEON Q2M Cure
GYEON Q2M Silk Dryer

Is it fair to say that using the following products will do the same thing as I already have these products on hand?

Carpro Lift instead of Gyeon Foam
NV Snow instead of Gyeon Bathe
ADS Amplify instead of Gyeon Cure
Gauntlet towel instead of Gyeon Silk Dryer

Thanks in advance....JP
