So, you're saying it's similar to your response here https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/th...admin-warning-no-politics.165976/post-3474787

You seem to not like being treated the way you treat others.
I haven't treated anybody in any way - you called people dumb morons as below. I suggested some people (I did not include myself in that although I am beginning to think I should) may think you are a moron for making that comment and then you failed to say why these people are 'idiots' in your words.

You do seem to get riled very easily and quick to sling around insults 🤷‍♂️ It is possible to hold a different view to you and drive electric without being a 'dumb moron'.

this electric fad is so annoying
Just morons who don't know buying an electric is about the dumbest thing you can do. You lease them, you don't buy them
Of course some people hold a different view to that - and quite possibly think you are a moron for holding the view you do.

This is, unfortunately, the way it seems to be these days in America. People are quick to anger and refuse to listen to other perspectives or ideas when they vary from their own point of view.

There seems to be little rational discourse anymore, and that's sad.

Nah, It's pretty obvious when there's the same troll in every post who refuses to see any perspective outside of his own, who gaslights at every opportunity. He's a pill.

First, I did not call people dumb morons, it was you who used the term moron, in response to GeekGT5.0, quoted below doing similar. I pointed out the 'some people.. think you are a moron' are idiots. So, we have morons on one side, some people who think the other people are morons and I'm calling them idiots. Pay attention, it's only going to get worse.

I quoted at GeeGT5.0 below for you and highlighted the relevant text. He did not impugn driving electric, but rather buying electric. It surely appears from the text that you are the one who has brought driving electric into this, rather than the actual financial implications of purchasing, vs. leasing and electric (vehicle). Note that the thread you're trolling is actually on the topic of sales, not the pros and cons of driving an electric vehicle.

Are you keeping up?

If you weren't including yourself in the 'some people', you'd not be invested in responding now, would you? You took a cheeky, backhanded swipe with 'some people'. I simply returned the favor and you, as expected, didn't like it.

Apologies for misquoting you - you are correct.

I was responding to your message thinking it was from somebody else - my mistake

Excellent points!

I suspect another factor is cars are just not as central (self image, lifestyle, hobby, etc) to recent American generations as they were/are to ours. Sadly. 😟

I won't/haven't let ANY of my Grandkids drive any of my cars. I love 'em, but they are such automotive barbarians/trash! 😆
Had kids later, but I've let my sons drive my cars any time. Older son loves the S2000 and the V8 M3, but the younger son has no desire, only drives our Avalon. Strange how this current generation mostly has no enthusiasm for cars.

I took our oldest son (24 y.o.) out for a spin in my wife's Mustang yesterday evening as he hasn't had a chance to ride in it. No way I'm letting him drive it, not even my GTO. :) He knows I know how to drive a car hard, so I showed him what it could do. He really enjoyed the ride. 😀
