Does anyone know how to get any visibility on the allocations for the 60th anniversary edition?
They conducted a limited time sweepstakes to enter to win a spot to order a limited (250 cars I believe) in the Britany Blue color.
That leaves 1,715 of the 1965 cars being made that are left for allocation.
I have an order in for one but I have not received official confirmation with a VIN yet.
I have no idea if they have received 500 order or 5,000 orders for the special edition.
If they have received more orders than the 1,715 available, how will it be determined who gets allocation?
Will it be based on first orders or will it be random? Will dealer size play a factor in this?
I have ordered my through a smaller Ford Dealer that may not have the allocation power of other dealerships.
Also wondering if they will produce them all at the same time or if they will make them over the course of the full model year.
Any insight on how Ford might conduct this process would be welcomed.

So I don't have answers to all of that but I do have some and also in a little bit of the same boat as you. I also have an order in for one and like you have not received anything yet. Although I contacted my dealership a few days after the Ford showed it off to see about allocations and was told they would get 2-4 of them. Once the order banks opened I was told they would only get 2 but was the first person to order it through them. My sales person reassured me I was going to get it but might take some time. It now says on the Ford website when you build and price out the car under the 60th anniversary wheels (late availability). So with that we might not get the cars until March or later. Hope this help you out some.

Best of luck. I hope you get your 60th and love it.
Bummer to hear about the wheels potentially delaying production.
I am curious on how they determine allocation. You stated your dealership will be able to get 2.
There are over 2500 ford dealers in the US so that means that most dealerships would not be able to get one. It should not matter what size dealership you order it from, it should be based on earliest order for customers. I have mine ordered through a smaller dealership as they have been better to me than the larger local dealership over the years.
I guess I just continue to wait and see.

I received an email with a certificate number yesterday saying I won the opportunity to purchase a Brittany Blue 60th Anniversary edition. I called the information line and they said, as stated on here there will be 1,965 total, and 250 will Brittany Blue and can only be purchased through the contest. To me there isn't a big difference in the vapor blue and Brittany Blue. I'm not sure I will be purchasing it just due to price and purchasing a 1966 Bronco a few weeks ago. Also, I have done a lot of modifications to improve the handling performance on my 2016 and feel I would want the performance package if buying an S650. They said no options can be added to these as they are sold with this set package. I feel something like this should be left stock as well or at least minimal modifications that could be easily reversed.

I believe the only way to get the Brittany Blue is to have entered the contest online. That is for the 250 Brittany Blue Fastbacks. The remaining 1,714 will be filled with orders and there are a few colors to choose from and you can get a convertible. I would love the Brittany Blue but I want a convertible. I was told that allocations should be determined in the next few weeks for the other 1,7,14 Special Editions. I am still holding out hope my dealership gets allocation for mine.
I agree with you though, I don't think I will want to modify it much if I get the Special Edition.

I live in Canada. I ordered in July as soon as the order banks opened. Found out four weeks ago that only 148 - 60th Anniversary editions will be allocated to Canadian dealers. Max one per per dealer. There are 400+ dealers, so not everyone will get one.

Allocation was determined based on the dealer's previous five year Mustang sales. 74 to be built in January and 74 in February. The dealer I ordered from did not get allocation. I was pretty pissed because I thought the timing of my order and that it was put in through COVP would count for something.

Fortunately I was able to find a dealer that had not yet sold its allocated unit and was able to order mine.

Glad you were able to find a dealer with allocation.
I am still waiting to find out if my dealership is getting allocation for one.
I am supposed to hear soon.
I am hopefully optimistic.
