Air box stage 2 whipple

When I had my stage 2 Whipple installed the mechanic used the stock air boxes which barely fit the filter. Is this normal

Stock airboxes yes, that looks like the wrong filter or he just smushed it in there, also it should be bolted down… where there is that gap between the holes.

whole install is suspect by that look….personally I’d be pissed… looks like a hack wrenching on it

The bolts do not line up , the air filter is too big. Going to email whipple to get the right size.

I used their competition open air boxes try that it will solve your problem they have lot's of open area around the filter.

Will turning it around make more room in the air box for the filter?

Here is mine with the competition intakes.. If you turn it around bolts should line up. The little raised part should go towards the filter
