The 2024 Ford Mustang GT is equipped with an advanced Traction Control System (TCS) and integrated Drive Modes that allow for nuanced vehicle behavior management. Here's how it works:

Traction Control Modes

These are part of the broader stability and performance management system:

1. Normal Mode

  • Traction control and stability systems fully active.
  • Designed for everyday driving and wet conditions.
2. Sport Mode

  • Reduces intervention from traction control to allow for more dynamic driving.
  • Stability control remains active but with higher thresholds.
3. Track Mode

  • Aggressively dials back traction and stability control.
  • Designed for maximum performance on closed courses.
4. Drag Strip Mode

  • Optimizes power delivery for straight-line acceleration.
  • Minimizes traction intervention to allow maximum launch efficiency.
5. Slippery Mode

  • Enhances traction control and reduces throttle sensitivity for rain or snow.
6. Custom Mode (MyMode)

  • Allows the driver to configure traction, steering, exhaust, and gauge cluster preferences independently.

How to Manage and Disable Traction Control

You can toggle traction control independently of the drive modes:

  1. To disable basic traction control:
    • Press the TCS button (usually marked with a car and squiggly lines) once. This disables only traction control but leaves stability control active.
    • The dashboard will display “Traction Control Off.”
  2. To disable both traction and stability control (Track Use Only):
    • Press and hold the TCS button for ~5 seconds.
    • You’ll see a warning on the dash confirming “AdvanceTrac Off”—both traction and stability systems are now disengaged.
    • Only do this on a closed course or track.
  3. Line Lock and Launch Control (manual transmission only):
    • Use the track apps menu in the infotainment screen.
    • These features allow for optimized launches and controlled burnouts with the front brakes locked and rear wheels free.

Let me know if you want steps specific to using Launch Control or Line Lock.

Not too bad when you use the right model and its been trained properly.

I think the above example just went over your head.
Not even a little bit. I am a tier 1 supplier of "AI", with multiple serviceable patents in my name.

Actually, I am just an idiot coasting through life.
I'd believe that. Being a "tier 1 supplier of AI" means you sell datacenter hardware. Shit that people store their icloud nudes on.

I happen to not only tune (for fun really), but my day job is a principal datacenter network engineer. I actually deploy and train enterprise Ai that crawls our datacenter networks evaluating latency, loops and routing issues. I've met with and spoken to hundreds of "tier 1 suppliers" aka IT sales idiots. They all claim to know networking and know all the buzz words. But they sure are key for buying lunch. Tier 1 suppliers for panera bread to my teams.

Look its ok to be an idiot. Because I too am an idiot. Just happen to be highy experienced in a few things, but at a high functioning idiot level. Top of the spectrum.

No disrespect was meant with my last post to be clear. The points are all made up and none of this matters.

And for the record, nobody buys lunch like Cisco buys lunch. When we invite them down to Tampa, they come 50 guys deep with executes and all their underbosses and sales morons. Nobody goes home without a Cisco goodie bag either.

during training do you teach it ‘how’ to think or ‘what’ to think. Initially it is keep in it’s room and only fed what has already been verified, once it’s released from it’s bounds it’s does it now simply consume or does it now know ‘how’ to evaluate for accuracy and context?

Most people are susceptible to conspiracy theories. That and the general ignorance of the public is the bane of civilization and good engineering. If not for the fact that some people cannot understand the difference between nuclear bombs and nuclear power, we would have moved to modular nuclear generators years ago. And the average person is bombarded with scams to steal their money, especially seniors. They don’t understand AI except that it makes it easier for the crooks to manipulate them. What is needed is a foolproof spam filter and the government being able to take these crooks down. Right now they exploit the biggest flaw in the system. Lack of borders on the net.
