That DH has it’s own unique shaped splitter which the Air Design won’t fit on to. You’d have to buy one that bolts on after fully taking off your DH splitter. So that Air Design is not a contender for you….

Sorry, I missed where you said it was to go on a DH. My bad.

I also went with LVA but decided against splitter rods. No issues but have had minimal scraping.

beautiful! thank you for sharing. Good comparison of the rod vs no rod here. the rods definitely look more aggressive.

no installation woes? I read the write up on these and if im not mistaken it does NOT involve drilling any holes unless youre installing the rods.

Also - did you get the V1 or V2? hard to tell with your pics (they are excellent pics - i love the coyote fender badge)

I took it to a shop for the installation and my guy had no problems at all.
I went with V1.
Thanks!

I was really hoping someone had purchased this and would share pics! I absolutely have my eyes on this one. It doesnt mention anything about darkhorse fitment but the price is right - id almost be willing to take the risk and see if i can get it up there successfully.

.....theres another one thats listed for the darkhorse up on amazon but im not crazy about how it mounts up underneath the factory one. looks a little excessive. i much prefer the one you linked

Just note that the one I purchased will only fit the GT non performance pack models.

Really. you didnt have to take off the stock front splitter to apply this? by looking at the pictures on amazon and your pic i assumed the GT either didnt come with a splitter or it was removed to apply this one.

That's right it just screws up just under the stock molding and fits like a glove.

Anyone out there installed the ford oem HP splitter for their non hp darkhorse and have stories or pics to share?

600-700$ or whatever it is seems a bit much for a bunch of plastic…..

Air Design Front Splitter sold directly from Ford. Not too big for my preference. Just tape and silicone (included) attaches it to the existing teeny splitter. It’s also an exact match to the rockers And rear valance in color/texture.

That looks perfect. I may need this one.

Hell yeah! It’s not too aggressive...kind of just right for the GT IMO If you don’t want a heavy racing look.

I was a little bummed it only attached with 3M tape and a bead of silicone, but it holds strong. It goes right over the stock stubby nub of a splitter that sticks out the front.

My only other option I considered was the PP splitter, but it has no front middle presence, just sticks out on either side.

If you get one, Ford has 15% off ATM. Maybe 20% Labor Day weekend sale.

I installed the NYTOP splitter (and side skirt extensions) in matte carbon fiber. Screws in right under the stock splitter, with a few new holes necessary. Feels very solid, and I really like the look and the winglets, especially with the side skirt extension winglets on the other side of the front wheels. The matte carbon doesn't have the same texture as the OEM plastic of course, but the CF pattern and the texture of the plastic go well together I think.
