Both but all 3 are convertibles, so
As someone who loves black cars and has owned black cars......get the red lol I will never own a black car again as much as I love them ....just too hard to keep clean/ keep up (that being said I do love black so wouldnt be mad if you got the black lol)
man that’s where I’m at.

I can already see the swirls in the paint and they’d just washed it and pulled it up front for me to test drive.

shame too- they are giving me a hell of a deal. I just don’t think I can do that.

I wasn’t even considering red, but it’s what they can trade for, and with the red/black combo of the PP, I’m starting to really dig it.

add Leather for $1700 and let’s goooo!

A black car…in Texas?!? You can cook breakfast on your hood in Summer! 😲

Red is a better choice IMO just for keeping the car cooler.

Agree… sadly it’s 500 miles away 🤣 I gotta buy the sales guy a plane ticket lol

it will look killer with Red/Black Katzkin leather combo to match the exterior

The car you want is 500 miles away?

500 break-in miles done on the highway is really frowned on in the manual. Considered one of the worst things you can do.

Have you considered a professional transport? Not too much more than buying a plane ticket. And you’re not getting your new car with 500 bad miles put on it.

I’m likely going to fly up myself, and drive it home over a weekend personally.

allow me to vary speeds, rpm’s, ensure it’s not a straight trip, etc.

Stopping frequently etc.

I’ve had more muscle cars than I can count.

Seems like the ones that broke in the best were the ones I took immediately to the drag strip and did 10 passes on 🤣.

they are still trying to get a couple more. It’s tricky- I’m D Plan so I need to keep it ā€œin the familyā€ if that makes sense. I don’t want to buy from another dealer and have my son’s dealer frown on him.

My hearing is fine, and cruising in Track Mode AE, it’s just a faint rumble underneath. I can hear the stereo just fine even at the lowest volume level, and conversation inside the car is easy. When I get on it, it’s a nice rumble, but not deafening inside the car. So I don’t get the articles that say driving for an hour causes hearing damage in Track Mode. Yeah maybe, if my ear was against the exhaust tip while driving, but that would be an awkward driving position.

There are many newer Mustangs around here that sound like the cats and mufflers are pulled. No tone to the sound, just BBBLLLAAAARRRGGGHHHH…lol.

I like Track Mode for the tone and better throttle response. I’m in a very rural area and even when I go up into town, so many people drive like their head is up their ass, I don’t care if they hear me coming. Maybe if they hear me, they won’t drift into my lane like they are the only ones driving.
that was sort of my experience too- inside the car it just wasn’t that loud.

although I’ve been a musician in a past life and my media room speakers I custom built can hit 130db so I am probably half deaf anyway haha

Good luck on your buy and enjoy your ride home! šŸ™‚

Maybe take some back roads and a few extra stops to help mix it up.

Resonator delete and Steeda H-Pipe. You'll definitely hear the difference in modes then and in general.
Around $300 for H-Pipe and 100 something for shop to install it.

Thanks for all the feedback.

I believe the two we are able to dealer trade for are 301A with PP and Active Exhaust, one is Race Red with Red Calipers as additional package and one is Black.

Leaning toward the red. I believe its paint will look nicer for longer.
IMO, I'd go with the red. Even dirty the red looks great! Black shows everything.

This is my second car with Active Exhaust, and it's one of my favorite ridiculous pleasures.

Exhaust is one of the most subjective things for people. I personally think track mode is really loud on these cars when you put your foot into it. Inside the car you wont notice much if any difference at idle. But if you stand behind the car and switch modes you will hear the difference.

One thing I like is programming your favorite mode to the hot key. Some people program to quiet, and some program to track. But it's nice to just push a button and have what you want.

It does make some significant difference. The difference between the low and high end, especially. Here's a good video to summarize and it includes decibel readings from outside.

See this is exactly my issue lol. Looked at countless videos before test drove it- ZERO show the differences inside the car.

I notice a difference between all modes inside the car. The key here is you got to put your foot into it and get the RPMs up. If you're just cruising around at 2k rpms, they all sound the same.
