If you install the dark horse differential cooler on the mustang gt, and change the harness to the one for the differential cooler, do you have to change as-built data to activate it?

There are some aftermarket kits. Going the DH cooler you need a new rear valance and the air diffusing panel that puts airflow thru the cooler. The aftermarket one mount the cooler different so you don't need those extra parts.

I saw your signature. I had an 06 as well. Did they even offer that gear set back then? I thought the GT’s had at best 3.55’s in 2006

Auto's had 3.55 gears manuals had 3.73 gears. However I put in 4.10 gears and an Eaton posi. Also it came with a 5 spd but I swapped it out for a Tremec magnum XL 6 spd. If that's your next question.

Actually, I was more curious as to what stage clutch you went to…did toy change that out? I had a stage one on mine and the bite point was hard and small…..not fun in traffic….was disappointed

It's a duel disc McLeod unit If I remember a RXT series I think. It has been a couple of years since I had it put in. It's definitely different from stock and I don't drive it in traffic It's a garage queen only comes out on nice sunny days'.

I wish Ford Performance would release 4.10's for the S650 I'd swap those in a heartbeat. The difference between the 3.55 and 3.73 is substantial... I can only imagine how much more responsive the car would be with 4.10's!!!

Yeah, but I don’t know if there’s a way to activate the OEM diff cooler. I have the wire diagram for the diff. Cooler circuit so Im modifying the harness and building a custom passive system. I don't want to add a fan.

I'm pretty sure you can get 4.10 gears for the s650 just got to go to a dependable rear end shop in your area.
