i ordered mine in early May. I just checked my tracker now and it still says in production. Tell the other member not to worry about that exact sequence. That exact sequence is known to happen before the tracker shows built. My car is physically built because i confirmed with dealer and what their vehicle visibility was reporting. If he wants a piece of mind tell him to call either his dealer or ford performance and ask for his secondary status. It’s likely to say produced, released, or awaiting shipment.

Received some awesome news today. ETA dealership between august 18-24. Very excited.

This is unlikely, the tracker shows in production. Ford performance doesn’t see that, when it’s ready the first status they see is “sent to plant”. The next secondary status they see is “body”. Sent to plant is not a physical milestone yet, once it gets to “body” the car is beginning its physical journey. Sent to plant means ford has sent the logistics for the car to be built. The plant then decides the order and date. So what probably happened is the information was sent to the plant with a preliminary scheduled date. Then there was a delay of some sort which caused them to push the date back. Once it was no longer in its Original scheduled week the public tracker probably reverted. That is the most likely sequence

Dream cruise is next Saturday, I’m expecting to see a few M cars and maybe some lucky early deliveries, by September they’ll be in the public hands.

Yup, that tracks with what i said. Except you have the order mixed up from fords end. It would’ve been sent to plant in production. The sent to plant status is what triggers rhe “in production” status. His order was likely delayed. My build date was 7/28 but it remained “trim line” until 8/3. Once it was completed the secondary changed to produced. In normal circumstances my produced date should’ve been 7/28 or 7/29. The fact that mine took several more days indicates there was some sort of delay with that batch, which then caused delays on the cars after ours. So pretty much, sent to plant is just ford telling the plant that this car is ready to be manufactured. It stays in that status until the plant accepts it, and begins manufacturing it, which changes the status to “body”. So in short, “sent to plant” is just documentation, when the plant realized it wouldn’t be able to actually start manufacturing it, it changed the build week, and changing the build week caused the order to revert out of “in production” to its previous status which is scheduled + the new build week

This is interesting. I noticed a pattern that a lot of the early ones that were produced mid-late of that October weren’t released until December. Was there a reason for this?

They had to have their engines replaced before they could be released from the plant. I was not able to find out what the problem was that caused them to be replaced.
