In recent weeks, I was able to upgrade the stage one Whipple on the dark horse and swap in a 3.5 pulley ID 1050s and Wengerd fuel system along with their E 85 tune, and boy do we make some big numbers over the stage one on 91 octane Whipple tune. Just for a reference point we made 604 rear wheel horsepower on 91 octane we picked up another 50 hp by adding a whole can of torque getting a 654 torque of course was in the 500s.. so as you can see these type of numbers didn’t satisfy me and I needed more power. Not to mention with gas prices I really want to get back on E 85 . with that being said I’m gonna post a video here and a Dyno graph to show you what we picked up on this set up and it is pretty damn impressive what we gained imo.. I was shooting high, but then we still beat what #’s I shot for by 30 hp.
With all that being said, here’s a quick video and a dynograph. There was one slight little drop on the graph at the beginning low RPMs, but I really believe being in track mode that’s the torque management, but I took data logs and let’s see what they say over there at Wengetd. Also track mode did put out the best numbers drag mode came in a couple horsepower lower, but nothing crazy. We Dyno’d the Dark Horse over at Dyno House in Santa Clara, right outside of San Jose California..
