I know this has been discussed in the past, however I was wondering if anybody has any new information regarding swapping the 2024 S650 301A package w/ Dual Zone Climate & SiriusXM incl. — base mirrors to the premium mirrors. I would like to get the puddle lights working, would love to have the turn signals but that’s not a deal breaker for me. I have seen apparently with the VIN some can check if the wiring harness would be plug and play, if anybody’s willing to help me that would be incredible.

Since I changed the side mirrors I can tell you that if you don't have the Premium, than at least the door harness you have doesn't support the functions you want to add.

For example, my car is a Premium with 401A package, but because I have Recaro seats I got the 400A door harness instead of the 401A door harness. In this case, it was plug and play for me. So that's why I know for sure that you don't need the 401A equipment group tp get it to work, but you need at least the Premium model to have the right harness for plug and play.

Verify the part numbers you need before you order!

My parts guy at Ford went through this pretty extensively with me. @GrabThatBlue is correct in that the 301A needs the correct harness. Driver and passenger are the same harness. I'm specifically avoiding the mirrors with turn signals so that I can reuse my OEM caps. If you don't mind buying the caps and having them painted, then you can go with the turn signals as the door harness should be the same for both options. There are 3 main harnesses to choose from using the main harness number 14630 (technically 5 or more, but we only care about the 3): absolute base model (300A), base with blind spot stuff and MyColor (301A), premium (400A and 401A).

Harness for mirrors with/without turns:
PR3Z-14630-HA
Mirrors with puddle lamps, no turn:
PR3Z-17682-E
PR3Z-17683-D

You'll may also need to figure out the codes to make the puddles work.
I havent done this yet, but it is on my list!

I wonder how much work it would take to replace that harness, and just how far it goes into the car

From the diagram I have, it'd take a few hours per door. The main plug should be just inside the foot well of each door. Then you'd have to remove the door panel and start snaking the harness. Shouldn't be too hard, just takes time.

Still definitely on my list of wants.

I also have a 2025 Mustang that has 301A. I am looking at the part description and it looks like 301A already using the PR3Z-14630-HA and PR3Z-14630-KA harness since we have the 9 speakers. Am I miss something or miss understand it?

If I need the harness..... They are out of stock right now.... sad :crying:
