Should I get a prepurchase inspection from an independent mechanic on a 24 vert with 20K (private owner from a dealer)? It's still under factory warranty. I will be adding an oil catch can, swapping the low pressure fuel sensor out and maybe some sort of GDI cleaning. I am worried the car might Ecoboom after reading & videos on the topic. TBH I am used to driving Japanese cars with little to no outside of the norm maintenance. I did have a 0 lightkly modified 07 GT with the 4.6 and never had any problems. I have zero plans to mod the Ecoboost. Thanks for the input/thoughts.

I’d recommend whatever makes you feel comfortable. I had a 2022 Ecoboost Premium Convertible that I ordered and purchased new. Put 48k wonderful miles on it. Great car but I decided that I needed a V-8, so traded for a 2025 GT Premium Convertible.

YES, have it inspected by a good mechanic.

If you can afford it, get a V8 because like DT-GT said, you're going to want one.
