If one has years of big truck experience maybe double clutching during gear change could resolve. . Those were the good ole days. Well, maybe not so much.

Oops...young people may not know what double clutching meant from years past, given new clutch nomenclature.

Because you can't shift without using the clutch. If you force it to go in second without the clutch you are destroying your car.

You can clutchless shift up or down, but you have to be very precise with rev matching both ways.

Can I point out that Mr G T Blue is Dutch and they are famously direct in their speech. I'm sure they don't mean any ill will by it. But they never leave anyone in doubt about what they mean.

I would say education however that could be construed in a multitude of ways, suffice it to say, sometimes folks learn from varied discussions.
