I doubt it’s anything other than placebo.

The C8 Stingray had a torque limiter that flipped off after 1000 miles. Seems everyone is carrying that over to any new performance car.

While I have a '22, I didn't notice any change in power. The car has hauled A from day one. No notifications, bells, "dings" telling me otherwise when I crossed 1,000 mi / 1,600 km. For the S550s and prior generations, I'm not aware of any further potential released after passing a certain mileage.

If I was of that mindset I think I’d also change the oil and oil filter before the restart.
