. Also, one of the forum sponsors seems to be the best place to get an extended warranty, if you’re into that kind of thing. Although, if i recall correctly, you may have some mods in mind. But sometimes i wonder if extended coverage for those non-modded items might come in handy.

It's like any insurance, a waist of money until it's not. Hell, if an extended warranty covers that crazy dash iPad, and it needed replacement after the warranty, that alone could make the insurance worth it. Just one of many things. No idea what it covers.

EDIT: And yes, possible mods. Still working my way through GT Premium with or without PP. That will dictate the mods.

For some reason i wanna say there is a light rider or something like that that expands the coverage just that one more little bit but i’m not sure exactly sure how much and what not, but yeah insurance it is and fine print is included, each individual must decide for themself …

I ordered mine with Granger Ford in Iowa, one of the forum sponsors. Got $6k under the $68k MSRP plus any additional Ford promotions. Only downside is transportation from Iowa to your home which is about $1-$2k if you want to use a car transportation they recommend. Or fly down and drive it home.

One more thing about Granger: it’s not only the pricing but also the fees. My local dealer offered me a $3k discount but the fine print on their offer added over $1k in fees. With Granger my fees are $245.

It's my understanding that some dealers will allow the Ford X-plan discount which is around 4% on top of existing advertised discounts. That is the type of incentive that would take me off the dime to place an order. As it stands, in the dead of Chicago winter which hasn't actually begun, I have nothing but time. No interest and picking up a car to sit idle unless the deal was just too doggone good to pass up.

Granger is outside of Des Moines, I know the spot. It's roughly 4 1/2 hour drive from me. I wouldn't expect delivery to be a grand, but maybe I'm wrong.

I grew up in Des Moines, that should be good for another couple grand.

I might be rounding incorrectly, but I believe it was around $300. You're right. Did you go to the X-plan website and get a quote?

Totally worth looking into if it's only 4.5 hours drive. For delivery the rule of thumb is $100 per 100 miles. Send them an email with your build, and they'll reply promptly.

How long did it take for the dealer to allow you to pick it up? I think mine might arrive end of next week.

Mine was 3 business days. Arrived last Friday and was ready by Tuesday. But I asked to see it on Saturday before they did any prep, so I slowed them down.
I did find the strakes in the trunk and have the dealer install them. Thx to whoever posted that piece of info!
