It’s been so long since I had the Steeda H pipe on mine that I’d have to refer back to my previous comments. I’d be guessing at this point as I can remember.
I cleared the DTCs with Forscan and everything was fine. If yours just randomly gave those errors and they don't reset, then I would recommend taking it to the dealer.
Check the tire, wheel and strut on the front corner where they mounted the 9.5 inch wheel. With the 9.5 wheel and 255 tire, the backspacing is roughly 182mm (backspacing of the tire, not just the wheel). The front tires/wheels have 174.5mm backspacing when mounted on the 9.0 inch wheel so the...
Thank you both for the feedback. I guess I'll take it back in since it has definitely gotten worse. It has become much more violent of a jerk when it drops in gear, and recently it has sometimes had to "clunk" into gear twice before it actually engages into drive.
I guess my question is how do you force them to do anything when they provide you with an SSM stating that your exact issue is a normal characteristic of the transmission? Short of waiting for the transmission to fail, I'm not sure what else I can do.
@SSuperDave, not trying to derail the thread, but hoping you can provide some advice.
I have a 2021 F-250 with the 10 speed (7.3L). I've had it in the shop once because of the very delayed engagement into drive in the mornings. That was about a year ago, and it is getting where it takes even...
At Roebling Road I was coming out of turn 9 in the mid 90’s then it’s wot on the front straight up to 144moh before braking. I ran 115 laps over two days and never felt like it cut power.
Track driving puts significantly more strain on the car compared to what you can possible do on the street.
I’ve heard they are limited to 155mph, but I’ve only gotten mine it 144, so I don’t have first hand experience.
I’ve had the oil temp get to 276 on the track in my PP. Cylinder head temperature was 231. No high temp warnings. I run Motorcraft synthetic oil and change after about 700-800 track miles. My oil life monitor is usually around 20-30% remaining life.
Edit: Looking back at my mileage, I’ve...
Nothing to apologize for. You were stating what you had read and you weren’t rude or a jerk. I did a write up on the MMR differential cooler install which you may want to check out. It’s somewhat of a pain to install, but works great and keeps the temps down on the track...
It looks like it could be possible, but it would definitely be a pain to install. It would definitely be easier with an aftermarket cooler mounted somewhere other than between the radiator and condenser.
I will try to explain the setup as best I can after inspecting it on my PP. I will reference the photos below.
Photo 1: The transmission cooler is shown with green and red labels in front of the pan. This cooler is the part that is the same on the PP as the non-PP. On the PP the lines on the...
No need for an apology if yours doesn't have a cooler. I'm just trying to be sure there is accurate information out there for people who are interested. It's aggravating that Ford doesn't give a detailed breakdown of the differences between models and packages; everything they provide is...
Google AI isn’t something I would rely upon for accurate information. Here is what it just gave me when I was looking up the transmission fluid level check procedures, which is completely incorrect.
I’m guessing they forgot to install the differential cooler on my PP then. I had to install one myself. Could you post a photo of the OEM PP differential cooler? I’m interested to see it.
The 2024 GT PP doesn’t have a differential cooler, and the axle will overheat on the track, even with the exhaust wrapped. Add a cooler and all is good.
I've got my car up on the lift at the house. If I have some time this weekend, I'll pull the cover from underneath and get some photos of the coolers to see exactly how it's setup.
