Moving the throttle body a half inch does nothing. This isn't like the days of carburetor cars where the air and fuel were mixed there and a spacer made a difference.
With fuel injection air and fuel is mixed in the cylinder and moving the throttle body does nothing. If it did, why not get...
Made it back to Lapeer International Dragway before they closed for the season on November 3, 2024. Temperature in the 50's and a slight breeze. Hit 11's on just a set of drag radials finally
If those tires are the standard summer tires for the Dark Horse, get some snow tires and swap them. You will have no grip at all with the summer tires.
And as far as weight in the trunk. I never found any need to do that. Good tires are enough.
Plus IF you do have an incident, that weight...
That's correct, the throttle response is "slower", but in normal mode you can just moderate your right foot and achieve the same result pretty much. It also changes some of the other transmission responses and such and that's why on my steep driveway if it is snow covered I will use it getting...
Typically I don't bother to change it to the "slippery" setting just driving or snow. When trying to get up my driveway, if it is snow covered, I may swap to that for some assistance, but usually just leave it in normal mode. If it is icy I might try the "slippery" conditions setting
I swapped from the 2 piece lug nuts this fall when I put my winter wheels and tires on. I already had the swelling on the 3 of the 2 piece nuts on the rear when I was swapping to my drag radials a couple of weeks ago so went ahead and replaced them all. But I went with chrome on my performance...
I live in SE Michigan and drive my Mustang year round. I used to drive from Port Huron to downtown Detroit with a supercharged 2006 Mustang on all season tires. Never had a problem. RWD isn't really that difficult to drive in the winter. It's easier on snow tires and I've been using those the...
Magnusson-Moss isn't some sword that you hold up and that is the end of things. All it says is that Ford has to prove that your modification caused the failure.
Ford warranties the car that Ford built. When you modify the car it is no longer the car that Ford built.
All that Ford has to do is...
I like the positive displacement blowers like the Whipple and Roush, but don't like losing my front strut tower brace. I like the fact that the ProCharger I can keep the front strut tower brace.
But I haven't seen enough to decide if I'm ready to lay out the funds for any supercharger yet.
I drive my Mustang year round, and we've already had some mornings at 40 degrees here in SE Michigan. So yesterday morning I swapped the summer wheels and tires for the winter wheels and snow tires.
Also, last week at the drag strip when putting my drag radial on, 4 of the lug nuts jammed in...
My car is automatic with performance package so I have the 3.55 gears and no gas guzzler tax and no start/stop (took delivery in September 2023 before Ford added that).
With a bad left knee I didn't even consider going with a manual this time.
When I did Mustang Unleashed, the instructor showed me just how much you can get out of the automatic on the road course using the paddle shifters - no reason to get the manual for me with that option.
$550 for oiled filters and new lids? Other than that it's no different from what we have now as far as I can see (unless they are tossing in the supercharger in the one picture with it). It looks to be the stock intake tubes from the filter to the throttle bodies
I am in SE Michigan and run a 255 - 40 x 19 all around for winter. The speedometer is off just under 1 mph at 70 according to my Waze GPS so not a big deal.
In your settings for the radio you can do up to 30 preset stations. That can be done across Sirius or AM or FM stations. You need to be stopped in order to move between the "source" and the various stations that you want. They can all be your Sirius favorites if you want.
You can control the stations, but only for your presets. If you want something different you either have to use voice command or look at the screen to change to a new channel that isn't on your preset list.
I had a Taurus SHO registered to my place in Michigan.
In North Carolina I had my wife's BMW and my Mustang convertible.
It cost me as much to insure the SHO in Michigan, with a $1,000 deductible and $100 glass deductible as it cost me to insure BOTH the BMW and Mustang in North Carolina with...
