  3. NC clubs

I found the Gate City club to be rather a let down, not very friendly. The NC Mustang Mafia though was full of a lot of friendly people and they get together often. (I used to live in Winston Salem).

  5. Hot Car Takes

Back in freshman year of college my friend had a 'Cuda AAR. We were getting on the highway late one night and I was driving and I asked him just how fast the car was. We were at the top of the ramp and he said, "hit it". A semi was coming under the overpass as I was starting down the entrance...
  6. Ford has no clue who their customers our

My wife sometimes asks me if I have enough bottles of bourbon - but can any of us have enough? I keep telling her that there are vast differences between them and so on any given night I will try different ones - and that's why I don't simply open a bottle and drink that one down. And to my...

  14. 87 Octane

Because it is a car and made to be driven. I have always used my Mustangs year round. Drove my 2006 for over 200,000 miles in SE Michigan and commuted daily from Port Huron, MI to downtown Detroit. Never had an issue. No rusting of the car. Ran it through an underbody spray wash each week in the...
  15. What did you do to your S650 Mustang today?? 🙋🏻‍♂️

No one HAS to put the Mustang away for a season. I drive mine year round - sun, rain, sleet, ice, and snow. Cars are made to be driven and I drive it.
  16. Procharger or Whipple?

What I like about the Pro-Charger option is that you keep the strut tower brace. When I had my 2006 with the V6 I had the Xcharger on it and a friend had the Pro-Charger on his. Both of us had convertibles so similar cars. At the drag strip what I liked with the roots style was I had the...
  17. 1/4 (OR 1/8) Mile Passes in your car?

My best in my 2024 was an 11.99 beginning of November. Fairly cool day on a set of drag radials.
  18. Best or Worst drag race moment?

My best was in my 2006 Mustang Pony convertible. I was lining up against an older Camaro, making a lot of noise with a loud exhaust, and his friend called out, "no problem it's just a V6". Did my burnout and then hit the nitrous purge. Treed him and he never caught me and took the win. My...
  19. Best or Worst drag race moment?

My worst drag racing experience was in a friends' GT350. He swapped to a different shifter and it meant that it was very close. I did my burnout and as I was staging I kept thinking, "wow, this is so tight but I am pretty sure I am in first". Light went green and --- "son of a ...." car was in...
