That is a common problem with bass roll off at high volumes on the B&O systems. I have an amp with aftermarket subs in my truck and it would do the same since I tapped into the factory sub to get a signal to the aftermarket amp. I had to use an LC2i module to circumvent the issue. A Kicker...
I completely agree with this.
With that said and to the OP's point: I hate it. I prefer to listen to my music in a true surround format instead of a "front staged" strategy. Unfortunately, the only way it seems you can get around this in Ford vehicles tuned by B&O is to go aftermarket.
Possible, yes. If the hardware/software is the same, then it is a matter on enabling the right config. I just don't know what it is, though.
Guys, his car is a job 1 Mustang with the BCM on the AAR version where it was believed WAL would not work. However, it most certainly did. Any other brave...
I would do the edit. If you turn it off on the touchscreen, you won't be able to turn it back on.
As far as the approach detection, I am not sure if this can be done on these cars. They are still very new to me and I'm learning.
Edit: I would wait for roadpilot to respond as he tinkered with...
You do have the right software. Change this:
7D0-09-05
xxxx 0xxx xxxx
This will remove the toggle from the APIM.
@roadpilot When you did this to remove the APIM toggle for WAL, was that enough to get the feature to start working again? Read his posts above for context.
Certain changes should be done manually and not in "easy mode". It seems like FORScan is trying to enable the APIM toggle which don't currently work and there is no need for since WAL works whether that toggle switch is on there or not. As a matter of fact. it brakes WAL preventing it from...
Just message me so we can coordinate it. I have several Mongooses, but I loan them out to people all around the country so we just have to set it up during a time that I have one of them in my hands. Updating the BCM takes 10 minutes. If you don't have FORScan, then I can do that part for you, too.
It will come via an OTA. I'm really surprised Ford hasn't started pushing it out yet. Every Mustang I've checked shows the update pending for it on the server.
I can tell you that it can be sent via OTA. All it would entail is a minor config change within the update. Whether Ford decides to do it or not is unknown.
Possible good news for those that want to enable walk-away locking, but I would need a guinea pig to try it. A few of you have messaged me to check what software your BCM has on it and until today, everyone was on the AAS version. However, another member now asked me to check his car (very early...
No need for chips. Tell them your car is showing some driver assist problems. The car is not reporting and hard faults, so they will have to drive it to replicate the issue. If they can't duplicate the issue, they won't be able to do much. They can see these codes themselves and I am sure they...
Codes are stored for 60 days at a time, so more than enough since you car is new. Looks like they've been there since day one.
However, this does not mean they sold you the car knowing this. As a dealer employee for many years, there are many catch 22's we have to deal with when it comes to...
Your car is reporting some codes that coincide with your concern. Most of the time, these codes will reference a certain TSB or SSM that provides a clue to what cold be causing the issue, but that is not the case here. The first code citing ethernet failure between the IPMA and GWM indicates a...
Less than 10 minutes. Perhaps it is an assumption that the job 2 cars are already on the newer version of the BCM? I'm not sure. Someone with a job 2 would have to pony up and try it like you did to see what happens.
This was just added to the common tab of the spreadsheet. All credit goes to Livnitup for the changes needed. I also would like to thank @roadpilot for being the guinea pig to test this out.
Edit: As noted in the spreadsheet, this will only work on job 2 Mustangs; job 1 cars will need to have...
