Dark Horse never sank in with me so neither will this one. Nothing wrong with the Dark Horse as a car other than it's overpriced for what you get and trying to compete with cars it has no business competing with. The name on the other hand is a dud compared to their other trims.
So Farley still has no clue what he's doing who would've guessed. Car doesn't look bad but the 5.2 is overplayed at this point and no manual for a supposed track car is stupid. It's just a reskinned Gt500 just without the Shelby name.
Just do bolt ons and E85 and see where that gets you at the track. Sounds like you're going for a jack of all trades master of none situation with your car.
It's a Chevy vs Ford thing. Good to have some sort of rivalry. Everytime the C8 gets brought up threads like these all end up the same way. I'll take these over the threads where everyone is trying to "solve" the U.S. economy/work force.
Why not. Jim Farley sure does keep comparing it to Porsche. If you can't even out perform a Corvette what makes you think you even have a chance against Porsche. I'd still take the 6th Gen Camaro chassis over any current s550/s650 short of the GTD.
It's for the views and likes. I'm with you on it being dumb. All the pop flame/burble tunes are stupid imo but it's his money/car so who cares if he tears his own stuff up.
Thanks for the update. I had a feeling it was a resonator issue. The catback I have has resonated mid pipes so that would explain why mine sounds similar.
I have the same noise. Almost the same setup except no ghost cam and I'm using a Stainless Works catback with catless LTH. I hear mine primarily on the driver side but have no clue what's causing it and my lift is down so I haven't been able to get back under it and check.
The horsepower is doable but your still going to be below 600lb/ft. More so in the 580-590lb/ft range from most the custom tuned Roush cars including mine that was tuned by DRP.
I doubt Roush is going to change the tune. I emailed them about a month ago about seeing if they were going to do tune updates/change kinda like Whipple was doing and they were pretty adamant about what you see is what you get. Now could other circumstances come up to make them change sure but...
