The thing that puzzles me .... The fact that the switch is "blacked" out would seem to indicate that whoever supplies Ford with that switch and / or assembly, would have to have been notified by Ford to make that change. (an engineering change notice). Ford would have rejected a misprinted...

I'm just asking out of curisoty ... Does the car actually have ASS? Will it keep running if you auto / remote start? Does it actually shut off after stopping - in drive - foot on brake? Reason I ask, some rumors that Ford was going to disconnect ASS on some models....

Yep, I get it. Ford gets it too! These are mass produced, assembly line vehicles. 200+ cars a day roll off the Flat rock production line, some are the "real deal" - with the sound, power and GT badge, the rest are just "other" Mustangs. One after another. Same sheet metal, mfg processes...

FWIW - I just swapped my Ecoboost premium steering wheel for the DH wheel with paddle shifters. It is definitely plug and play and works as expected. My car came with a heated wheel and adaptive cruise, so the swap was straight forward - instructions were supplied with the steering wheel...
