  1. How hard should I drive brand new Mustang GT over first 1,000 miles?

Go easy on it for the first 1k, vary the RPMs, don't use cruise control. Check your oil level. Don't count on PDI. Change your oil after the first 1,000 - 1,500. After 1k you can step on it.
  2. Ford rewards "points"

I use pennzoil platinum advanced in the new Lexus and Motorcraft full syn in the mustang. I used pennzoil dino oil in my Forester XT & Legacy GT. The STI got full synthetic for the 10 yrs i owned it. Both pennzoil and valvoline are good oils. I used castrol on some of my older cars and...
  3. Ford rewards "points"

I got 31,000 points for my car purchase in March. Not sure what I'm going to spend it on yet. I guess a few hats or t-shirts. I do my own maintenance and purchase most of my parts, including motorcraft oil from RockAuto. I have all of the accessories for my car I need. Cost of an oil...
  4. Tire pressure sensor issue

@Yamazuki is far more knowledgeable than I on this. All I can add. Are you using 4 new sensors, all the same brand. Or are they mixed? The programming procedures I've seen are pretty straightforward. I think the horn honks once before the dash displays something like Train front left tire...
  5. Low price? on a used 2024 Dark Horse 600A A10

Greetings , 52 to 55 is about right. How long have they had the car on their lot? Look at the tires. What condition are they in? If they look like they will need to be replaced soon, knock another grand off. Are the wheels in good shape or are they rashed? What's the windshield look like...

  8. Dark Horse 2027

Thank you. It's a convenience feature. The car has a front-facing camera for lane center assist so just give us one that we can look at the curbs with. My other vehicles have it. The DH is not an economy car. Nothing is standard in CA. Parking block heights vary from place to place. Some...
  9. Sync4 Infotainment Crashes

Greetings , I'm using Android Auto on a pixel 10, 2026 DHP. I'm not having any of the issues or behavior that you're experiencing. Connectivity, operation and reliability has been very good. I stream Sirius and Amazon music. No crashes. Just quirky behavior. Like if I start the car when I'm...
  10. Dark Horse 2027

I think the DH will still be available, but I don't think it will get a facelift for a couple more years. Just give us a front camera Ford... Jeeze - us
  11. Windshield wipers/system Recall??

I'm not worried either. It rarely gets below 35 here in the winter. My car is garaged. It's my daily. So next year I get a new windshield wiper motor.. ok. 😂
  12. Windshield wipers/system Recall??

Appreciate you guys posting. I was going to say the same thing . Yesterday the wiper motor recall appeared in my Ford App, today it isn't, but It still appears under my VIN on the Ford website. I don't have the control module update campaign listed for my car thankfully, but since it's OTA...
  13. Oil for track days

For a track day I think it's a great idea, but I would swap back to 5w30 for daily driving.
  14. Swapped my Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS for Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires

Driving on Conti's for over 11 yrs now. Very happy with their wet / dry, cold weather performance. They are my favorite tire for NorCal, year around. I'll switch to them when the P Zeros wear out. I don't go to the track.
  15. Windshield wipers/system Recall??

I got this notification 2 days ago. Under Remedy there's nothing listed, but if you search the campaign number it says Ford is going to replace the wiper motor. Can't say I'm really excited about having some mechanic pull the cowling off to replace.
  16. Best air filter for the Mustang?

I'm using the stock Motorcraft filters with Filterwears sleeves. I use the clear case covers by RAH Performance. I like the way they look better than the Roush or the Corsa covers and they're less expensive...
  17. Anyone else still doing a strict 1,000-mile break-in period? Or am I in the minority?

I always buy new vehicles. I drive all of them gently for the first 1k miles. I don't use cruise control, I vary the RPMs and don't stand on the brakes with both feet 😂 I do my first oil change somewhere between 1,000 and 1500. The oil in the Mustang was completely clean at 1,270 MI. No...
  18. Is this worth fixing?

Sorry this happened to you. I cannot comment on how or who is going to be liable but it's something that you'll want to get fixed. As painful as it might be and it's not going to be cheap ... Bite the bullet if you have to. Don't drive around with a crunched car. Doing so is ghetto AF. It's...
  19. 6 speed.. Accidentally shifting into reverse

I only used Momo shift knobs in my Subarus and never had an issue. I just did a quick AI search and they're talking about plastic shift collars and some aftermarket knobs being problematic. If you're so inclined you can probably take the console out and see where the problem is. But for a...
  20. 6 speed.. Accidentally shifting into reverse

That sounds like some kind of mechanical issue with the shifter. I'd probably have it checked out. If you can get into reverse without pulling the collar up that's a serious problem. Safety concern.
