  1. S650 mule spotted..........with all wheel drive?

That's just no good if an EV is an only vehicle. It needs to charge 300 mile range in 5 minutes or less to be competitive. Who wants to stop for 10 minutes to charge every 30 minutes of driving? That's just silly. IMO 20 - 25 minutes is way too long. I wonder if I could start a business...
  2. Ford needs to offer rwd and AWD on the new Mustang!!! Changing traction via a toggle switch.

I really hope if there's an AWD Mustang it's sold as a separate model rather than turning all Mustangs into porky SUVs. The Mustang is already heavy and big enough. Plus, I really don't want the price increase from adding all those extra parts to the car. I'd rather see a transaxle to improve...
  3. They HAVE to ditch the MT-82 this time around, right?

First and second are the gears that you want to have steeper for daily driving and having fun on the street. With a 3.25 first gear and 3.73 rear gears, the GT350 topped out at over 50 mph in first gear, which is terrible. One shift and you're done on the street. No more accelerating through...
  4. They HAVE to ditch the MT-82 this time around, right?

The Tremecs in GT350s had really tall gears. I would hope that Ford would put different gears in it - more like the pre-2018 MT-82. Maybe the Tremecs in the Mach 1 have different gearing, but I don't think so.
  5. S650 Mustang design / styling first-hand description 🕵🏻‍♂️

To me the general shape of the back looks like a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
  6. Brake Pads *Venting Warning*

Why would I want to buy a vehicle with crappy tires/consumables on it? As far as I'm concerned the Ferodo pads are good. Yes they make dust, but they perform really well. I guess it depends on what you want. But why buy a somewhat sporty car with crappy pads that keep your wheels clean for...
  7. S650 to feature a flat bottomed steering wheel

Materials used is another area I wish the Mustang steering wheel were more like the FiST. I think the perforated leather is pretty good.
  8. Mach-E 1400 is an S650?

I think you're right that the Mach E probably indicates a general direction of styling movement in the Mustang and there will be some commonalities. But the 1400 is designed to be pretty wild and I doubt a production vehicle will have the huge fender flares, etc. I don't think the GT500 face...
  9. Could S650 Mustang (or beyond) get turbo hydrogen combustion engine? Patent discovered

I love high tech and innovation, but I agree hydrogen doesn't make sense, especially because gasoline can be had cheaply and our reserves of oil are huge. Some day in the future maybe hydrogen will be prefered. However, currently gas engines are the best answer.
  10. S650 Mustang design / styling first-hand description 🕵🏻‍♂️

It's a little bland, but I do like it better than the 2018+ design.
  11. Odd GT350-based mule

Possible. Not sure why the hybrid would require a big hole in the hood though.
  12. Odd GT350-based mule

New Cobra Jet powertrain testing says Hot Rod magazine. Makes sense to me.
  13. S650 to feature a flat bottomed steering wheel

It would be nice if the wheel got a little smaller. The wheel in my FiST is small, and combined with a quick steering ratio it really makes the car feel sporty. The Mustang should get some of that. Maybe not quite as extreme as the FiST, but more responsive would be good. Flat bottom is ok...
  14. S650 Mustang rendered by Sketch Monkey

It reminds me a little of the Cadillac Escalade, which has jowls like Marmaduke.
  15. S650 Mustang rendered by Sketch Monkey

Wow, that is the ugliest thing I've ever seen! That really is terrible. I pray it looks nothing like that.
  16. Spied: New Mustang Prototype w/ Mach 1-Style Wheels, Upgraded Dual Caliper Rear Brakes 📸

DIsagree. The mouth dominates in the S550 as well. And the Ford fusion. And the Evos concept from what - 2011? And yes the Mustang looks more similar now that Caddy truncated the cry baby tears on the headlights, but IMO the tears dominated the Cadillac. Now they are trying to downplay...
  17. When are you buying the 7th Gen Mustang?

Makes sense to start from an IRS platform for an IRS car. No wonder the current Mustang has such a luxurious ride. This still sounds to me like a better place to start from than an SUV platform.
  18. Ford Announces Separate "Model e" EV Division and "Ford Blue" Internal Combustion Division

If people really cared a lot about energy consumption and the environment, they would be buying smaller cars like you suggest. But it doesn't seem like most people care very much. They want a command seating position and lots of room - even if they are typically the only person in the vehicle...
  19. Spied: New Mustang Prototype w/ Mach 1-Style Wheels, Upgraded Dual Caliper Rear Brakes 📸

I was re-reading this thread due to the dearth of new info, and one thing I wanted to mention is that front mid engine is still mid engine and it still provides benefits to performance. With a longer hood - it's likely a larger engine is going in there. However, with more engine setback the...
  20. Odd GT350-based mule

Like Mach 1 - costs more than the GT350 but with less equipment? Premium for a name is and always has been BS.
