I don't really like the Boss name very much. IMO Shelby is way better. But if Ford makes a modern day Boss 429, I would love it. Either way, I'm hoping we see a powerful naturally aspirated V8 halo Mustang soon.

There's something I disagree with there, but I think it gets into politics. I believe I can say that us retaining our driving priviledges is more in question now than it's been in the past.

My thoughts are that a slight improvement wouldn't be enough for me. But if it also costs significantly more than the original MSRP of the GT350 I owned, I might not buy. I'll buy if it's a good performance value - appearance to me is a secondary consideration.

Look at sales of 1973 Mustangs ~135,000. Then look at sales of 1974 Mustangs ~386,000. That redesign was a HUGE win for Ford. Your opinion does not match the majority of Mustang buyers from the time.

GTs do work fine for year round driving. I drove a 2011 GT as well as a 2015 GT year round.

I don't put weight in the trunk. I learned my lesson on that years ago. Anything heavy that I put in the trunk will end up shifting around and damaging something. Good tires will provide plenty of traction. Nothing else is necessary.

Probably not. You will probably have to put 1 or 2 (depending on width) inside the cabin of the car. There are nice plastic bags for tires that suit this purpose really well (keeping the interior clean and preventing scuffs from the tires). Edit: and yes you definitely have to be reasonable...

Current Mustangs are really good year round drivers. You just should buy a nice set of snow tires if you live where there's snow. That's what I did when I was driving Mustang GTs as my only car year round.

I agree a great ICE engine is like art. EV drivetrains could also be thought of that way at some point. Right now you think they are all the same and I believe that's because there are very few out there. If you have lots of money then you don't need the EV to be able to do the once a year...

That makes more sense, because a lot of the sketches that the Pill posted show cars that absolutely could not have a front engine dual overhead cam V8. The hoods are way too low. Good looking cars, but the outlines don't work for the expected powertrain.

I don't think you have considered that more and more people don't have garages or single family homes (and especially people who live in the city are less likely to have single family homes. EVs are terrible for all those people, because there's no easy way to refuel. ICEs are best for towns...

I agree 3400 lbs would be amazing. The 'vette is all aluminum with only two seats, but yet it's over 3600 lbs for the base models. I'm sure the higher power versions will weigh even more.

I agree hybrid is more functional than EV, but pure gas is less expensive, less complicated and more reliable. I just don't see hybrid or EV as being competitive with a pure ICE, unless you just like the technology for the sake of liking technology.
