Don’t forget it’s not just the ability to tune, but the sync 4 system. Ford gets a data upload at night after you cut your cats and tuned it. You try to start the car next morning, you’re locked out. This is speculation and would require legislation but I wouldn’t put it past certain states well...

Yeah man I understand you... driving 10/10 and 9/10 is typically a reference to road course ability. You're right, the Gen 3 can take E85 and a tune all day. Gen 4 probably will too once it's cracked....but I personally wouldn't try to be the first guy to do it. I'm not a youtuber.

I probably should’ve said “will” instead of “can”. 🫣 You’re spot on with more displacement being easier than trying to squeeze more out of the 5.0 reliably (and cost effectively). I think they’re 95% topped out on what they feel like doing with the 5.0 in NA form.

I wouldn't think they can squeeze much more out of the 5.0 NA. Someone earlier made a good point about they've had quite a while to try. They do have the aluminator...but it's a full-blown race engine lol. The next big dog will be a contender to the current GT500, and priced as such.
