  1. Whipple Calibration On Hold

What’s going on with your build? Any updates?
  2. That awesome exhaust note!

Facts but also sometimes in the hunt for more power I’ll change the headers. I’m not sure I want to do that with this car as I’ve heard some and it’s way too loud for streets with cops.
  3. That awesome exhaust note!

I have an X pipe and valved exhaust. I can’t believe how good these cars sound. This is my 4th Mustang V8 and I think it ranks up there with my Foxbody that I had in my high school days. I had a C7 Z06 with LT headers and it was definitely louder but didn’t sound this good.
  4. Whipple Calibration On Hold

The Ford powertrain warranty is voided the minute the supercharger is installed. If they can prove the supercharger caused the failure then it will be up to Whipple or Roush to warranty the work based on their coverage which is max $8k for engine and max $3k for transmission if my memory is...
  5. Whipple Calibration On Hold

I have the phase 2 supercharger package.
  6. Whipple Calibration On Hold

Thanks! Only the Launch Edition has a warranty. I think it’s backed by Roush, not Ford. So this one does have the warranty
  7. Whipple Calibration On Hold

I was at Lebanon Ford Performance today to pick up my RTR Spec 2 with Roush phase 2 installed. Cameron is a great wealth of knowledge and agreed that the stage 1 and stage 2 Whipple calibrations are targeting too much timing for the fuel being used. He used a Dark Horse as an example in NY (LFP...
  8. Whipple Calibration On Hold

Are you a calibration engineer? If not… My experience with boosted engines say It has little to do with the intake systems at this boost level. You can only push so much fuel into an engine with the factory low side fuel pump. Neither of these kits supply a boost a pump or an additional low...
  9. Whipple Calibration On Hold

You’re right. They will establish a base tune and then send it out to the tuners to tweak it.
  10. Whipple Calibration On Hold

If you watch the posted video you can kind of deduce that of course there isn’t a hold on the Roush tuning because it’s not targeting as much timing as the Whipple tuning. Purely speculative of course. Wink wink. Won’t matter in a couple months anyways. Once Lund gets their tuning figured out...
  11. Whipple Calibration On Hold

The superchargers both offer the same performance and warranty. There is only a difference between the Whipple and Roush if you add a stage 2 package to the Whipple. If you’re just going for the 810 package then either one of these options gets you there with a warranty. The Roush is basically...
  12. Whipple Calibration On Hold

I’m being told same price which seems right. Roush phase 2 kits are $9995 at most online sites. Whipple is $10k plus install so that’s where $12,500 comes from.
  13. Whipple Calibration On Hold

The dealer originally promised the car by 9/9/25. They are now saying I’ll have the car by 9/12/25. 3 days later than promised isn’t a huge deal in this business, especially under the current circumstances that are outside the control of the dealership. If we get into October then it will be a...
  14. Whipple Calibration On Hold

The issue is that the entire car and all the parts are wrapped up in 1 loan. It’s a $90k Mustang when it’s all said and done. They basically won’t let the car leave the lot until the parts are installed.
  15. Whipple Calibration On Hold

I’m being told by LFP that the phase 2 has a warranty. Not all of them do but due to their volume they were able to acquire 100 kits and apparently I just grabbed the last one they have on the shelf.
  16. Whipple Calibration On Hold

Ford Performance says the Whipple Tune should be ready to go by mid October. I’m not waiting. I had the Maggie 2650 on my C7Z06. It can make the power I need plus I honestly think the red Roush lid and the dual intakes looks better than the Whipple. I know looks don’t mean anything but to me I...
  17. Whipple Calibration On Hold

I just got off the phone with LFP. I’m going to install a Roush TVS 2650 system instead of the Whipple since it is not impacted by this issue.
  18. Whipple Calibration On Hold

I’m just going to go stage 2. F it. The car is a 2024 and was purchased by RTR and then Lebanon bought it from them. With that said I would only have a warranty for 2 years according to the finance department. So….stage 2 and then in the spring I’ll add my wheel/tires that I have in the garage...
