I bought MBRP black tips that bolt on over the factory tips. I then used high temp flat black grill paint on the inside of the pipes. It works for now.
Which would you do first in this situation? LTH’s with no cats or half shafts?
I have a Roush phase 2 supercharger, UPR catch cans and X pipe. I love the way the car sounds and runs. My next modification allocation is $3,000 and is meant to protect from future possible damage. I know that...
If you read up a few more posts you’ll have your concerns answered and you’ll be able to sleep better tonight knowing she’s lubed up and ready to rock.
If you recall I’m the OP and I have the Roush supercharger installed but broke the news that they couldn’t install the software file.
For what it’s worth, I haven’t been easy on my car. I’ve hit the speed limiter 4 times, received a reckless operation performance award on the way home from the...
It had 80 miles on it when I bought it. LFP put 10 quarts of 5W-50 in it when they installed the blower. They recommended 3000 mile service intervals and said no need to change it until 3000 miles or 12 months.
For sure. Less is more. I got the 301 vs 400 because I knew the seats would go and the steering wheel matches the black and white theme of the interior and exterior.
This is the RTR setup.
Wheels RTR Tech 7 20/9.5 +33 front 20/10.5 +45 rear
Tires Nitto NT555 G2 275/35/20 front and 295/35/20 rear
My track setup is
Wheels APEX ML-10RT 19/10 +40 front 19/11 +52 rear

The only thing left to do is install an aftermarket custom steering wheel and a set of smoked reverse and reflector replacement lights. I do have some track wheels and tires as well.

What is it with the designers tucking the wheels so far into the fenders? That wheel setup needs another .5” of negative offset with those fenders. Gotta love having to alter a $100k+ vehicle on day 1.
Don’t think so…..unburned fuel from a rich A/F ratio causes unburned fuel to reach the cats where it then is burned and creates more heat inside the cats since the combustion is occurring outside the cylinders. This is why they don’t recommend pops and burbles on cars with cats. You are correct...
What theory? The only thing that would cause the converters to become too hot is too much fuel in the A/F ratio. That goes for e30 and 93 gasoline. A bad tune is usually the culprit to failed cats. Not saying you can’t overheat the S650 cats with FI and the ford tuning but you would really need...
I’m not worried. I just want to know if there is one because I was told no further tuning was allowed for the Whipple. If you can go around the Ford version of tuning and I wasn’t offered that solution then I want to know if he’s getting the full bag of goods.
