  1. Whipple Calibration On Hold

That can be said for just about any supercharged car with 600+ WHP if you push it for more than 5-10 minutes such as track driving. I plan to take it easy for a couple months and then go with long tube headers and no cats.
  2. Whipple Calibration On Hold

Unlikely but I would bet Ford doesn’t want any negative PR with cars having issues related to tuning. The majority of turn key folks tend to automatically think if Ford supports it then it’s 100% safe when in reality the major car enthusiasts know anything that isn’t designed from the start is...
  3. Whipple Calibration On Hold

Probably too much timing for 91-93 octane.
  4. Whipple Calibration On Hold

I received an update from Ford Performance. They have found some issues with the tuning software. According to Lebanon Ford Performance it is possibly related to OTA updates. My dealer also stated that as of now the hardware has not been installed as it’s still in line behind 2 other vehicles...

My car is a black RTR Spec 2 with an auto.
  7. Whipple Calibration On Hold

It sounds to me like it’s some kind of hardware or communication issue keeping the tune from being sent from Ford to the vehicle.

They promised the vehicle by 9/9 so if I don’t have it by then I’ll take your advice.
  11. Whipple Calibration On Hold

And if it grenades I’ll pull the engine and build it. It’s not a daily. It will probably see 1500-2000 miles in the next 2 years.
  12. Whipple Calibration On Hold

No. If it were a real issue then Whipple would include it in the parts package that comes with the blower. Out of the 200+ superchargers that LFP has done my salesman stated not one had come back with a failed OPG.
  13. Whipple Calibration On Hold

    From Ford Performance
  14. Whipple Calibration On Hold

The way I understand it is they had the blower installed on Tuesday and the hold came down on Wednesday. I understand how the warranty works through Whipple but I would like to know the details of what Ford’s reasoning is before I do anything. This is Lebanon Ford Performance shop in Ohio. They...
  15. Whipple Calibration On Hold

I own the vehicle. I have technically taken delivery even though I haven’t driven it home yet. With Ford holding the car because of tuning I’m pretty sure I would be going around their current protocol and recommendation which most likely means the warranty would be voided. The whole reason I...
  16. Whipple Calibration On Hold

Whipple’s response is that the hold has been initiated by Ford. I now have an email for support from Ford Performance.
  17. Whipple Calibration On Hold

I was informed today by my local Ford dealer installing my supercharger that the Whipple calibration was being put on hold. Basically the service tech who installed my blower said that they aren’t allowed to tune the car with the Whipple calibration. He had no other information other than we had...
  18. Tire Size fitment suggestions?

I get it. What does Jack Roush know about mustangs anyway? 285 would probably be ok but not with that offset. Maybe with some negative camber adjustment but I doubt he has that option as he only stated a wheel package in the post. Why would you only want a couple mm’s of safety clearance. My...
  19. Tire Size fitment suggestions?

Roush has a good video explaining what will fit without rubbing. 275 front and 305 rear is the widest that will fit without modification. You may have some issue with the front width at 11”.
