The My21.5 Mustang has
(1) Remote Start from your Key Fob and Phone / Computer. (I start it from my lounge room and by the time I get downstairs the car has warmed up and the Air-con or Heater has kicked in)
(2) FordPassConnect : "Every 2021 Mustang comes fitted with an embedded
modem known as...
It depends on the Dealer, and if they are quoting on a current Allocation - as to the Wait Time, but mine is July as a worst case scenario, and he suggested it will probably be May.
I can understand your hesitation for the MY24, and lets face it, the FN is a fantastic car (especially from the...
Looks that way, although the Dealer (Fleet Manager) said it is a worst case scenario.
Because I cancelled my original order with my local Dealer, I'm now a bit late to the party. He who hesitates ---misses the ford bus!
Found an interesting FB discussion below with Ben Nightingale (FoA Cominications Manager) In view of the seemingly inconsistent significant power loss with our Aust' Spec 2024 Gen IV Coyote engines, compared to the host US engines, even though the US engines have been hit with much stricter...
Thats how I did it. You need to go through the on-line process, and then there is a section where you can write preferences etc. Compare Best Prices on the 2023 Ford Mustang (motorscout.com.au)
Yep, Aust' wide. They usually focus on Dealers within a certain radius to you, however you can get them to expand the catchment area where they cast their net.
They haven't updated it yet, just do it for the MY23, and make a note in the comments it is for an MY24.
They put it out to tender at Fleet Prices, and you will probably get 5-6 Tenders over the next 4-5 days.
Motorscout are in Tweed Heads, up near you.
You also get a Full Tank of Fuel & Slim / Premium white Plates included. I ordered A GT Auto in Atlas Blue for $87,437 Drive away.
Magneride is an extra $3,835 (inc LCT) plus Stamp Duty
Black Pkg is a extra $1,950 (inc LCT) plus Stamp Duty
Premium Paint is an extra $910 (inc LCT) + Stamp Duty.
The 10A Auto is an extra $3,900 (inc LCT) + Stamp Duty - over the GT Manual
TOTAL EXTRAS = A Lot ! + Stamp Duty
Give Matt Tull a call @ Motorscout (new Car Broker) and mention my name (Steve from Wollongong). I saved just under $2,700 on the Ford Build Calc Price. Compare New Car Deals & Prices | Motor Scout Australia
The initial Dealer order was as a MY23 at the then current (Aug 2023) pricing, pending conversion to MY24 Order and Pricing.
The discounted pricing is a product of volume (Broker) purchasing, and It could also be indicative of unexpected buyer push-back over pricing - and cancellations.
Speaking of Ford Australia Exhaust System Stuff-Ups - I also remember the rubbish job some clown did at FoA on the BA-FG XR8 & GT Exhausts. It was so hopelessly bad (restrictive single dual outlet that sounded like a dry fart), I am sure it lost more sales than they actually sold! :)
True. After-market headers would be good. Might olso be able to pick up a set of FN headers from a wrecker - but then there is the slight issue of fitting them...
I wonder if FoA also changed the mufflers or centre resonator?
It would be good to confirm exactly what was changed, and why.
It...
No, I was talking about Pricing Consistency, by assuming current My23 pricing, and implicitly variable costing factors from immediately prior to when the 2024 pricing was announced. FoA have a greater understanding of their Costing and Profit margins than you or I, and those simple direct...
I agree, it really is stretching it to call it a new Gen, just a number of relatively minor improvements. Although for us in Aus we only Gain 8 Kw and are Down 6 Nm Torque from the previous 2018-23 FN - AND it has gained 96 Kg.
From the $90,095 FoA Build and corresponding Dealer Quote. He knew I was an enthusiast, so I suspect he thought I was excessively keen - and would not budge on price.
I am now buying it from another Dealer (Via the Broker) for a reasonable saving ($2700), and yes it will be ordered as of now -...
Not as simple as that, this is not the first year FoA have sold Mustangs in Aust, and Ford Au have their own costing schedule, which already factors exchange rates, Shipping etc, and the US Retail pricing direct comparison is largely irrelevant, as is evident from inconsistencies in a straight...
