Found an interesting FB discussion below with Ben Nightingale (FoA Cominications Manager) In view of the seemingly inconsistent significant power loss with our Aust' Spec 2024 Gen IV Coyote engines, compared to the host US engines, even though the US engines have been hit with much stricter "Bidens Green New Deal" US Emissions Regulations - which in principle should have narrowed the much smaller gap that already existed between the US and Aust Gen 3 (2018-23) Coyote V8.

He incorrectly states US Power Ratings are (still) conducted under the old SAE Gross Power Standard (Without any accessories - Alternator etc), yet Ford and the Us Standard changed to the more Euro focussed SAE NET Standard in 1972. Therefore the power discrepancy mystery remains unresolved.

Australian Version of GEN IV Coyote – Neutered (up only 8kW but @ + 250Rpm, and DOWN 6 Nm from the 2018-23 Au FN GT )

Power 347kW @ 7,250rpm
(Down 15.4Kw from US S650 @ 362.4Kw – Plus 8 Kw @ + 250 Rpm,
from the previous FN)

Torque 550Nm @ 4,850rpm
(Down 16.7Nm from US S650 @ 566.7Nm –Down 6 Nm @ + 250 Rpm from the previous FN) (20+) S650 Ford Mustang Owners Australia | Facebook
