Just returned from my maiden voyage with my Roush blown/Kooks exhaust/ MGW short throw shifted/drag radial 6 speed car.
There ain’t a man alive that wouldn’t enjoy this machine, in this configuration.
And this is from a former Trinity GT500 owner (and multiple blown A10’s).
Boost is a hell of...
Paid the labor bill 🤣:
Roush Phase II
MMR Billet oil pump gears & Kinetic Crank Bolt Saver
Lethal Performance Kooks 1-7/8 headers
MGW Short throw shifter
DH/PP fan & radiator
Modified J&L Oil Catch Can
Raining when I picked it up tonight so couldn’t get into boost. So nice having another MGW...
Roush finally responded to my shop and said there’s a software update they need to download. This is great news.
By the way, you made a great choice. That’s an excellent blower no matter what the Internet says.
Owned several boosted manuals and autos. As mentioned, lots of variables influence wheel spin. Not running a sticky tire is the main cause. Driver error (gear selection/weather conditions/suspension deficiencies) is a close second.
My experience regarding your question: I’ve had A10’s get away...
thanks man. Shop installed shifter. No regrets on 300a (weight & cost savings). I sold that car because tuning was locked. I just grabbed another shadow black (301A) since tuning is now available . It’s in the shop getting another MGW and a supercharger that I financed in with the car @ 0%
ordered it on a Monday got it on a Thursday. It’s through LMR and I’ve been dealing with them for 15 to 20 years I think. You won’t find a better deal plus free shipping.
awesome buddy I have one sitting in a box waiting to go on. Did you wind up getting the launch edition? And can you hear any of the whine yet even though you haven’t gone wide open throttle?
