  1. Auto StartStop

You will definitely exceed 24 MPG. I have the manual with the 3.73, and when I get on the highway in 6th gear right after a refill, I'm approaching 24 once I'm up to speed. When you're not hammering the throttle in these cars, they're surprisingly efficient. But, as mentioned, that's not why we...
  2. FORD RACING is Back... Ford rebrands Ford Performance as Ford Racing & promises "First new car revealed in January"

I think the most likely car to come out of this in January would be something based on the Mustang. It's the one we've not only heard but seen the most of in recent times. I know Ford has been saying they want to be the Porsche of offroad, but we've yet to see or hear any based rumors about...
  3. Auto StartStop

In my personal experience, AS/S has saved me as much as 3-5 MPG in my primary vehicle. I have almost never had it on in my Mustang, and the few times I did it was because I was actually not beating on the throttle, so I can't say for sure how effective it is in the Mustang.
  4. Show me your spoiler!

This briefly gave me a tinge of buyer's remorse. 😅
  5. S650 Mid Cycle Refresh

I still don't think we're on the same page. 😅 While the 400 and 401A are one unified unit, they behave as two separate screens. It's not one screen, it's two separate screens integrated into a single piece. This is why the gauge cluster can fail while the SYNC screen still works, and vice...
  6. S650 Mid Cycle Refresh

If the direction that the current-gen Expedition/Navigator and Nautilus took is anything to follow, the Mustang may just do that. It would be interesting to see how they do it. I think they meant a single screen that isn't split with a bezel in the middle. What we have now is basically a...
  7. All-Season or Dedicated Winter Tires?

The area I live in doesn't have too many hills, but the city I commute to/from for work is full of them. This comment has convinced me - I will get a dedicated set of winters, and based on recommendations in here it will be the Michelin X-Ice. Thanks, all!
  8. All-Season or Dedicated Winter Tires?

Hey all. I had a question about this. So I picked up my S650 a little over a month ago, it's been a blast. I've been paying attention to the weather patterns in my area and it's unusually cool for this late into August - I don't think we've seen sub-70 highs here since I was a very young child...
  9. S650 Mid Cycle Refresh

Nah, I know that - I was referring to it as such because we have no idea what it'll be called as of yet, but we do know it'll take its place. Uh, not me? I like being able to have a little fun with the imports I come across on the road. If we go back to the 60's/70's that goes away... 😅
  10. S650 Mid Cycle Refresh

This is something I've thought about lately, and has got me beginning to wonder if some of the prototypes we've seen recently - namely the one with the vertical rectangular exhaust - is actually a refresh with some extreme upgrades instead of a boss or a GT500. Seems far-fetched, and I doubt...
  11. 🎥 First Listen of the Legend Engined 2026 Shelby GT500 Mustang Next-Gen Successor!

What "We" want seems to be incomprehensible, IMO. Half of the complaints I see/hear about the Mustang center around how much this car has strayed from its roots, given that it's attempting to fight other brands abroad and no longer solely focusing on the "Fast in a straight line" philosophy. Go...
  12. Active Exhaust - Meh?

The S650 with AE is considerably louder than without. Mine doesn't have the feature, but I've driven plenty that do, and there's a noticeable difference, especially on cold starts. The tone is deeper, much more susceptible to pops and bangs on the overrun, and ever so slightly choppier...
  13. Which Model to Purchase???

Finding 300As in general is difficult. I asked my dealer to find me that or a 301A and nationwide he couldn't find much in the way of anything. I ended up in a 401A. If you want a 2025, your best bet is to increase your budget by a few thousand. Otherwise, order a '26. That's not to say you...
  14. 2026 on order. What first mods should I make?

I haven't modified mine (I'm mostly happy with it stock) but from what I've seen, get Steeda's Stop The Hop kit as well as some other tasteful suspension mods. When I launch I can feel the wheels hopping when TC is on - that looks like it'll not only solve the problem, but also increase grip...
  15. Seat belt rubbing sound w/ Recaro seats?

I have the same experience. I think I'm too tall for those hooks. My belt ends up on the shoulder of the seat before reaching me. On the squeaking noise, I don't have that issue in mine personally, but I have experienced it before in a different S650.
  16. Adding Active Valve Exhaust to a non-AE

Now that we have tuning access, is this something that's feasible?
  17. Revving in Neutral in an automatic (While Driving)

As mentioned, the only S550 to do this is the GT500 as it's a DCT. Automatic S550s and S650s do not allow you to rev the engine by pulling in both paddles. You can shift the car into neutral to free rev while driving, however.
  18. Has anyone actually put in a 2026 order?

The fine print explicitly states it's for existing 2025 dealer inventory and 2025 retail orders, so it's highly unlikely you'll see this applied to a 2026. You need to come into ownership/take delivery of the car before the first part of September is over. With that last part in mind, even if...
  19. Easy Exit/Entry Life or Death Issue!

If I remember correctly, the option for it should be somewhere in the vehicle settings. It may have disabled itself.
