  1. Mustang owner's color preferences

I chose the color I did because this is a fast and audibly loud car, the last thing I wanted to do was get one that was visually loud. I don't want to give the road kings a reason to pay more attention to me when I'm very obviously going exactly the speed limit.
  2. Ford to reveal all-new road-going race car on January 15... GT500 successor?!

If this is a design study, I hope it's a production intent design study. If this is something that makes it to customers, even in very limited numbers, that tech and/or platform could trickle down to future versions of the Mustang. It's not quite the right dimensions (FM engine setup) but it's...
  3. Few more questions for 2026 Order

If cost isn't too much of a concern, do the performance package option, and get all-season tires. If this isn't a car you plan to drive daily, spec it in a way that you will really enjoy it when you take it out. The performance package, even without Magneride, is noticeably stiffer and more...
  4. Automatic Folding Mirrors

Understood. For reasons that are neither here nor there, my impression had been that non-US spec Mustangs also did not get power folding mirrors. I know now that is false. Just tossing that out there for record's sake since I was directly quoted saying that they don't exist on the Mustang...
  5. Automatic Folding Mirrors

Did an argument really start over a comment made a year and a half ago...?
  6. Car forgets settings

If he has Recaros, there's not going to be a memory button to save or reselect a profile...
  7. Car forgets settings

It's interesting that this is happening to everyone all at once. I hopped in mine after a gym session this morning and my colors had reset along with the shift lights being disabled. I had no notice of a software update, so if that's what did it then it makes sense. But why would the update...
  8. Ford to reveal all-new road-going race car on January 15... GT500 successor?!

Something like this would not be a coincidence I don't think. Their whole aim is to promote their new Ford Racing brand. This is a 2 Birds 1 Stone situation.
  9. Ford to reveal all-new road-going race car on January 15... GT500 successor?!

Bear in mind that Tremec recently announced that they developed a 6 speed to fit in the C8 Corvette that can handle upper power limits just shy of that which the ZR1 makes, and that it fits. The GTD uses the same DCT as the C8. If the DCT is going to be a carryover, it stands to reasonably...
  10. 2025 GT PP 6sp transmission rattle.

It's at least part of the reason why the Euro spec feels like it has less get-up-and-go. I think it might be an emissions-related modification.
  11. Ford Performance Air Oil Separator Installed!

Slightly off-topic, but... for all the Molten Magenta orders I've heard of, I've seen exactly four on the road. One was an Ecoboost, and one was mine. ...Not that I'm complaining. The color is rare, and at risk of sounding like a Corvette owner, I like that. I have one of the few 2025 Job 1s...
  12. October 2025 Mustang Sales & Production: 3,845 Sold / 3,732 Produced

Mach-E sold nearly 1000 units less than the ICE last month. Huh. Wasn't someone saying in some article somewhere that Mach-Es should be selling more than the ICE because they're an EV SUV, which is what the market wants right now? (Please don't mind me being smug. 😄) Or maybe keep them where...
  13. 2025 GT PP 6sp transmission rattle.

Have you driven the car hard prior to this? I've heard this rattle a few times in mine, but only after a very aggressive spirited drive for an extended period of time. By the next time the car's cooled off it's fine.
  14. Faster GTD prototype testing at the 'ring

One thing I'm noticing is the front rims are quite similar to what we've seen on the Cobra/Cobra-equivalent prototypes. If that's indicative of anything, I wonder if maybe there's parallel development going on... maybe this hotter GTD will lead to an immediate trickle-down effect. It's a...
  15. Odd things I have noticed

They say it's illegal because they don't want drivers flashing their lights to warn other drivers of cops in the vicinity...
  16. Odd things I have noticed

Huh. I'd ask Ford or a dealer if that's normal. I'd assume it still is, maybe it's trying to prime the heating element. Unsure - I don't want to give you the wrong information, so I'll stop there.
  17. Odd things I have noticed

My observation has been that I need to blast my high beams at other drivers to get them to turn theirs off... can I have the drivers in your area?
  18. Odd things I have noticed

The first one is because it's trying not to blast cold air at you, assuming this is while the car is still cold. The second one I've never noticed, but the only time I've needed the high beams to come on for me was when I was tearing up a backroad late at night. 🤷‍♂️
  19. Auto StartStop

Indeed, though I virtually never see it. My current trip timer is reading 16.7 and that's surely going to be lower by the end of today. 🤣
