It's easy -
"Remote services disconnected" is bad and means low battery.
"Sleep/saver mode" is NORMAL and means the car is doing its normal routine.
Got it?
Yep. You can't park cars and not drive em much without a tender/maintainer. It's hell on the battery, especially in a modern car.
The factory spec is VERY conservative by track standards
I ran -1.7 camber on my Mach 1 with no wear issues. It's a common myth that kind of camber causes wear issues in the street. I was told you need to be over -2 camber and really throwing it around before uneven wear starts.
And yes, more...
Thank you. The sleep mode/saver timer is obviously a lot longer that a few days like I thought. I seem to remember someone saying 10 days after reading your post. But maybe it's 2 weeks.
Remote services disconnected means the battery is in a low state of charge. It's not the same as sleep mode.
Storing the car for long periods and occasionally taking it out to get groceries isn't enough to maintain the battery. But you already know that since your looking into a battery tender. 👍🏻
The car goes into sleep/saver mode regardless of the charge after a certian amount if time if it sits long enough. I think it 48 or 72 hours, not sure. Someone can correct me on that.
Man lots of battery questions lately. Maybe we need a sticky?
Just make sure the maintainer/charger is rated for AGM batteries. It should say on it.
As for when to charge, it doesn't matter. The car will function fine either way. That said I'd do it the night before so it has a chance to learn...
A sunshade is standard issue here in Arizona. A very light ceramic tint on the windshield helps cut heat significantly.
I've seen a cover for sale online. I think Roush? But it didn't look great and cost 1k. 😕
People also need to understand that some of that heat is generated by the...
OP - stand behind the car at idle and look inside the exhaust tips (from a safe distance). There is a valve inside the inner tips that you can see. Have someone switch modes or go back and forth yourself. See if the the valve is moving. If it's not, then the system isn't working.
Also, the...
Maybe you left an accessory light on and drained the battery. Either way, if the battery is good I'd love to know how you attempted to charge the battery and "nothing happened".
I'll post a picture of my battery tender connection later to show you.
Every once in a blue moon, my infotainment system is slow to boot-up after I start the car. Beyond that, I've had no issues with slow processing. Not sure what the above complaints are about or what they have to do with a CAI lol.
Anyway, those factory intakes...
