You’re looking at the 1:1 increase, now extend that to the multipliers and you may. Even though it’s fancy math multiplication will estimate an increase that is perceptible during lower rpm use. (Kinda like when they can’t dyno in a 1:1 gear without hitting the limiter).

It should rev just by tickling the gate during a downshift, you don’t even need to fully enter the gear to get it to respond. Try from third to second, lift off accelerator, depress clutch, move gear shift to second (tap the gate but don’t enter it) - rpms should automatically rev.
