I don't think it's going all out. It's mostly likely going to take some elements like the 5.4, and maybe a handful of the areo elements. Looking at all of the other gt3 homologation cars, that's how they do it.

Why would they cover most of it up, and only tease a very small portion of it if that wasn't the road car? If it was the race car, why would they still be trying to tease and hide it in a reveal video for the race car?

Yeah, I'd prefer for the road car to look like the 777 body kit. Just with a toned down wing and ground effects.

So, the clay model they're working on here appears to be slightly different. Not sure if this was an alternative proposal for the race car, or if it hints at what the road car will look like.

True, but they don't price 'em like they used to because they don't make 'em like they used to. Modern cars are very well engineered, so the price reflects that.

That seems to be a common trend with newer colors, Blue Ember, Vapour Blue, Area 51, Yellow Splash. They all change so much based on lightning conditions. Which could be a good or a bad thing depending on who you ask.
