I don't have the paperwork for the Ford Performance registration but i am guessing it's some Ford Performance/Whipple combination. Ford themselves doesn't do it. It was like this with Roush as well.

Because parts companies want to sell parts and people repeat what they hear like blind monkeys. Ford has also improved the gears over the generations of engines since 2011.
How many broken oil pump gears have you seen people post here?
If your engine has a mass airflow sensor it will see any extra air and compensate. Same goes for wideband O2 sensors.
If it is speed density that may be true. Or a carbureted engine. Headers probably won't change it enough to matter though.
