The Cobrajet is going to give you more usable RPM, not necessarily make more power at the stock RPM ranges. It may not make more power on stock cams (or if it does, just a tiny bit more near redline)
Do you have dyno charts of your car with both intakes?
2018 intake vs cobrajet but the idea is...
Actually, Nittos aren't even that cheap anymore.
Let's look at TireRack.com, 285/35ZR19
$267 - Hankook Ventus V12 is the cheapest (but it's on closeout)
$281 - Sumitomo HTR
$286 - General GMAX
$298 - Kumho Ecsta Sport S
$303 - Yokohama Advan Sport (closeout price)
$319 - Firestone Indy 500...
fun fact, those tpi/lt1 throttle bodies were only 2x48mm

I dunno man, I think a lot of buyers fall into that category, you just described my GF (she's not 28 though  )
Heck, my mom also bought her Mustang just because of the color.
So did RTR give this car an angle kit, race seats, or adjustable coilovers? Since it's setup for drifting and all...
It's also about having the stupidest looking car with a terrible wheel/tire combo
