  1. Headers Install Cost

    that sounds like a possibility.
  2. Dark Horse- What did you Mod today?

Apologies @Cobrakit , I didn't see this. I use the widest body panel removal tool I can to pop those clips out. Some are shaped like a narrow putty knife, some like a mini crowbar, but, they're plastic, so you won't run as much risk of marring up your trim as with a sharp screwdriver.
  3. Gas prices [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

We need some more Ayatollahs to slay. I paid $2.90 / gallon for 93 from QT before this started and it's now about $4.30 locally, and a shop hard, travel far to score that last penny per gallon it's around $4.10 and ditto, both cars and truck run super, and both my bikes are 91+ octane. As...
  4. Headers Install Cost

The s/w headers with cats are 'modular'. You can swap the cats in/out with a couple supplied pipes, no reciprocating saw required. I understand the Kooks cats are integrated; meaning you cut them out(?) or buy the whole catless section.
  5. Headers Install Cost

The way the shop explained to me, the stainless works headers make it easier to swap cats in / out as needed so that's the direction I went. Just in case. So I got the catted S/W headers, but installed the headers with the bypass section.
  6. Headers Install Cost

The sound is a little unrefined, as you might expect and I have it running into the stock resonator & mufflers with active exhaust. Quite mode doesn't sound bad, but, sport and track are raspy at times. It's a 'good' sound, of course, but not in the same way that a screaming Ferrari sounds...
  7. Headers Install Cost

I just paid this out; install cost me $1080+ tax. So, whatever the headers, o2 extenders etc. cost, add on to the 1-1.5k-ish. so all in, I did about 3300 total for catted headers with cat delete merge pipes installed.
  8. Suspension noises Dark Horse

Glad you found it. Super easy fix, you only have to unload the front and you can easily remove them. I used a low profile jack, one side at a time, lifted the tire just enough, put a pair of channel locks on the spacer, pull & twist to remove and it's out.
  9. Dark Horse vs Dark Horse Premium

I'd like them more with memory seats or even the "easy in/out" power seat option, but they do keep you planted firmly in seat.
  10. 2026 Dark Horse SC Mustang pricing released!

One of the best remakes ever.
  11. Gas prices [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Not talking about countries that use the metric system and I'm trying to avoid the 'complex geopolitical' implications here. This was already being worked on before Iran https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/sable-offshore-resumes-oil-transport-after-emergency-order/ar-AA1YJEl5 but now it's...
  12. Gas prices [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Surprisingly, this report from CBS has a pretty good explanation: What hasn't increased in response to the shortage?
  13. Gas prices [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

My overarching point here: The US has oil, in bulk, with no impact to its production and can supply the US market uninterrupted. This is simple panic buying, trading and selling when boiled down. There are a lot of parallels, but like I said, I'm literally surrounded by oil. These guys are...
  14. New guy, how to go about first performance mods?

Always upgrade with a plan and be honest about your current use case, how you might use in the future and what mods may help get you to your goal. For example, you mention looking at the suspension / traction, which is smart. You can do the street starter kit from Steeda, and some bracing...
  15. Gas prices [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Ok. Everyone else, particularly in the US you should look closely at what is available in the US market and how much is being refined. You may need to look closely at what is refined from domestic sources as we do still import oil for some locations.
  16. Gas prices [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I understand how it's traded, as I said before I am literally surrounded by the oil industry. I'm saying it does not have to have the impact on the US that it does. We are not short, nor do we have a supply issue; some micro geographical issues - again, CA, HI, AK, also territories, but CONUS...
  17. I should have mentioned this

if you're never tracking, the GT is a smarter choice. You can moderately lower, add a splitter easily.
  18. Gas prices [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I'm saying, at least as it applies to the US, the price increases are not as logical as we have a steady access to fuel - heating, diesel and refined gasoline. Other countries with stratospheric fuel prices I'm not speaking to. For this side of the pond, the rationale for the increase in fuel...
  19. I should have mentioned this

I won't be discouraging anyone from ordering a Dark Horse, especially with the handling package. The brakes are astoundingly good. - the Trofeos - tires, will be gone in a few short thousand miles, so be ready to replace them SOON after delivery. If you want Recaros, the smart option is to...
  20. Interesting addendum to my auto insurance, cars like the S650 Mustang are why...

@Skye is not wrong. Out of high school, when we had the privilege of paying >$2000.00 / year for liability coverage only, I had a buddy who, unable to get his own insurance, got covered by his mom. Over the course of about 18 months he had a series of screw ups - a few tickets, a few...
