  1. Interior Colour

@1hotboss ..... I can't take credit for it because mine came with the space grey interior at the dealers but I get a huge amount of compliments on it. As well, as the seat faces, the door panels have space grey inserts which IMO is awesome. I was worried that the color might show dirt but I...
  2. Missing nuts on top of strut

@Alan Applegate ..... 100% Alan. Great Head's-Up. I have also been told by my dealer that to remove the top engine cover on my 2024 GT, without breaking it, they would have to remove the factory strut brace. If this is true, it is IMO still well worth having that brace. BTW - the nuts to secure...
  3. Convertible Top Treatment

@jeffnudi ..... well that depends. If you garage your car and it isn't subject to al lot of tree sap and pollen and don't drive it in the rain a lot and don't drive it in the winter if you live up north then you can probably go about five years without treating your top. BUT if your top is...
  4. Convertible Top Treatment

@rkmustang ..... I like Auto Glym but it is hard to find. Detailers swear by Griot's but I have not used it. I have used Chemical Guys and it worked well. Friends have used Ragg Top and liked it. I would avoid any kit that mentions coloring additives as these are bad news. Some forum members may...
  5. Missing nuts on top of strut

@decidave8 , respectfully get the strut - your Mustang will love you for it. If you do so, I suggest you torque the nuts in stages (half torque and wait a half hour then final torque to spec slowly) to avoid any potential to twist the studs.
  6. So why does my S650 GT not handle as well as my S550 GT?

@Upacurb .....there are a quite number of authoritative videos wherein the differences in the S550 and S650 are concerned. One of the most informative is a lengthy one from Ford.
  7. So why does my S650 GT not handle as well as my S550 GT?

@robvas.... The Dark Horse R is a fastback, (coupe) isn't it? If so not having a strut tower brace is not as crucial as it is in a convertible where it is absolutely crucial. That said I have seen supercharged Mustangs where there was no room for Ford oem strut towers where the owner has...
  8. So why does my S650 GT not handle as well as my S550 GT?

@robvas..... I respectfully disagree. A fellow Mustang enthusiast wanted to see the how much a strut tower brace affected the stiffness of the front end. He installed three metered rods all connected to the strut tower and back to the firewall. All had pull gauges. The cross strut front lateral...
  9. So why does my S650 GT not handle as well as my S550 GT?

@young at heart ......first get the strut tower brace. IMO no Mustang convertible should ever leave the factory without that strut brace. I guess you did not get the premium or it should have had the strut brace from the factory. Get one - like as of yesterday. It will make a significant...
  10. After 7 months, she’s finally here!!! (Ft. Cat)

@kagemusha2662 ...... you are under the mistaken impression that @nitepony owns the Mustang. The cat owns the Mustang and will allow @nitepony to drive it when the weather is good. The cat also owns the house and particularly the driveway. I know this because I have a Siamese which is like...
  11. Ordered 2024 Mustang 10 months ago still don’t have a build date

@dave8871 .... not trying to ne a smart a$$ but I would tell the dealer I wanted a 2025 and if they said no I'd look elsewhere. Yes, the 2025s will be a bit more expensive BUT by the time you receive your 2024 it will already be considered one model year old so you'll lose on resale or trade. As...
  12. After 7 months, she’s finally here!!! (Ft. Cat)

@nitepony ..... awesome but I spot a quality control issue. Your passenger side cat has been installed too low you're bound to bottom out with that. Dealer should fix without any agro. You'd think by now Ford could get the cats on right?
  13. The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack is the next-generation, all-electric version of the Dodge Charger, and is expected to be the world's quickest

I don't even care about the weight or any statistics...... GEEZ - it's electric. I stopped playing with electric cars and tried to make a go-cart out of dad's lawn mower when I was eight. Now I'm going to buy a pos EV? Stellantis will soon be too broke to build a soap box derby car.
  14. Mustang Darkhorse Autobahn Run

@DFB5.0 ...... lived in Germany for four years. My Dad had a chevy that had been worked on. We took it out on Saturdays when Mom and sister were shopping. Saw some crazy sh_t.
  15. ECG-24.2.5.6.2 Update

@SALEEN032 ..... wins the prize. I have had several boats (Big) that also had multiple gateway systems and CANs (control area network) to enable and control communication (coms) of the data stream on the data highways to interact with the ECUs. On my biggest boat I had the Mercruiser Axius...
  16. Patched My Fender Well Holes - DIY Instructions & Photos

@Illini4 ..... you are right the rocker panels are plastic/composite. BUT - have you looked under the big felt-like "belly pan" under the engine and under the "felt-like" side pans. These all cover the main FRAME pinch welds and your entire front end K frame and associated frame components. IMO...
  17. Patched My Fender Well Holes - DIY Instructions & Photos

@Stang24 ..... just a second guys. Hein had to approach Ford, get the blueprints, scan them into his equipment, FYI the Ford blueprints had to be re-programmed - significantly - by Hein to fit his CAD software and he had to make multiple runs to get it right. These composite "patches" are not...
  18. Patched My Fender Well Holes - DIY Instructions & Photos

@dollybud ..... more that that brother. The velocity with which some of the stones hit my exposed pinch welds and K frame chipped the paint off exposing metal. IMO.... In southern areas sand would pack there and get wet causing a rust poultice. In northern areas the snow and salt could...
  19. Patched My Fender Well Holes - DIY Instructions & Photos

@OzzieRoss .....I have never been given a rational answer. Hein didn't know nor did Tony Unica. There was speculation the holes were left to install the K frame members but that is wrong. The best guess is that it is just an oversight. What was shown in Tony Unica's video is exactly what...
