  1. 2024 Mustang New Recall - October 28th

Absolutely correct. So, back in the day we used hidden kill switches. I can't count how many times thieves tried to steal one of our HP boats or vehicles to NO avail. Want to make one of these punk, arrogant little $hits look stupid - install a hidden kill switch. You could put a Cray computer...
  2. Carpet Mats for 401A.

@Lgb0250 ..... have to agree those are definitely a step-up in appearance from WTs.
  3. New Anderson Composite GTD Style Fenders!!!

@Alan Applegate ..... agree and would look stupid on my 2024 GT. If they were less expensive and came primed so I could paint them vapor blue then I'd be interested.
  4. Carpet Mats for 401A.

@razorwired .... same here 401A "high package" mats were so-so. medium quality with some gray perimeter stitching. I think Ford knows many owners are going to ditch them for aftermarket so why waste money on them. I bought Weathertech - love the quality of them and they totally protect the...
  5. Just seeking out some opinions…

@blong7699 ...... Appreciate your service. Because of the color and striping of your Mustang and the proximity of the black wing and the black sections of the rear I'd say it "blongs" fine :-) ...... I don't think it would look good on my 2024 Vapor Blue GT. Unless you're heading straight to...
  6. Service - road test joy rides

@Neggytive ..... I agree. But there is a massive problem with road tests and vehicle shuttling. Many have seen vehicles pull out of dealerships and had the hell rodded out of them or shuttle/delivery guys racing them on freeways. I think concerns about potential abuse from dealership personnel...
  7. What Octane do you run?

@LETHAL is 100% correct. In the day we used to build engines. For the little difference in price the difference to a 12:1 engine is IMMENSE. Honestly, don't want to sound like a grumpy old fart but someone buys a DH then wants to save a few pennies using $hit gas. A lot of refiners are a bit...
  8. Recommendations for maintenance/mechanic in South Florida

@gonzov17 ...... just my 2 cents, but I get my oil/filter changed at the dealer. Yes, it is a bit more expensive but it builds good will when you use their business. My friend owned a big GM dealership and he thought people who got most of their service done elsewhere then brought him their...
  9. Cruisin around with the top down min/max temp

@Farmer Fran ...... no maximum upper. Having owned many convertibles I am very wary of operating the top below 50 degrees F. Going down no big problem - but coming back up can cause it to rip or the seam stitching to break. 60 degrees F is my bottom number for top operation.
  10. 2024 Convertible mechanism filler pieces

@Neggytive ..... at a local Mustang nite an owner who had the inserts said they were starting to mark his top. He didn't even want to sell them as he didn't want to damage anyone else's car. he just threw them in the garbage. I have heard this several times before.
  11. Strut tower brace LMR

@Mikestang24 ..... well done!!!!! Wouldn't even consider not having them! Had strut tower brace on my 2014 and now have both sets (as you show in your post) on my 2024 GT. BTW ..... I like that there is a name plate on the strut tower brace. Mine was "naked" from the factory but Anchor room.com...
  12. Getting Prepared for Winter "Storage".

@Mr.SUB ..... I like everything you said except activating the top - unless the temperature of the top is at least 50 Fahrenheit - some will say you can do it at 40 degrees but I think that is risky. I have owned many convertibles and lived where winter temperatures went below zero regularly...
  13. Strut Tower Brace 2024 Base GT

@cabot....good to hear about the coupes. The strut tower brace makes a massive difference to convertibles. I had them on my 2014 and 2024.
  14. 2024 gt mustang conv DASHBOARD wont turn on

@BlackGT2024 ..... did you have any device plugged into your infotainment system at any time? I was plugging my Samsung phone into the C port of the system via a good quality cable to play my music play list. I unplugged the cable and afterwards the screen pixelated. My "geek genius" nephew told...
  15. Strut Bolts/Nuts & Caliper bolts

@Fender5803 ..... on the 2014s there was a coating but a Ford note we found also stated they were one time rated for torque stress. I don't know if the nuts for my 2024s tower studs are coated inside but I was told they are one time torque rated and once the torque is removed (as in loosened)...
  16. Drag strip times after Kooks Longtube headers & AWE Switchpath exhaust (2024 Mustang GT)

@Stang24 ..... great video. Can't tell from your video but did you put some big a$$ fans on your engine and tranny between runs to cool them down? Back in the day that's what we used to do. If that we didn't do that and there are multiple runs we found the car's times got worse and worse due to...
  17. Strut Bolts/Nuts & Caliper bolts

I did on my 2014 stang and A friend did on his too. We both found the wording on a Ford schematic that said "one time use only". I have a bag of them for my 2024 in case the strut has to be removed for engine work (like removing the engine cover). It took two weeks for them to arrive, which i...
  18. Broken Dark Horse

@Ewags81 ..... you have received a enormous amount of heart felt solid advice from Mustang brothers on this forum who genuinely care. I lean towards what @Timry2 has said. Unless your dealer has no concern for their reputation and zero pride they will be mortified by this event. Like @Timry2 has...
  19. OEM wheel weight vs. APEX Forged

@ISLAND DARK HORSE ..... you are 100% correct. Discussed this a few years ago with a tech I know at Kal Tire. He said it depended on what you were going to use the car for. It was his opinion that all manufacturers had their own play book on what went into rim specs. He said a big part of the...
