Why don’t mufflers add HP anymore? (Or do they?) didn’t exhaust always add 20-30 HP back in foxbodies etc?

I didn’t get to race him but there was a 2020 GT pp/10R at the track with me on Saturday… he ran 12.5s and 12.6s it was about 80 out with 2k plus D/A I ran 12.1s back to back, both of us were bone stock… he also trapped closer to 114 and I was 117 plus.

I wouldn’t use octane booster, if you want higher octane go unleaded race gas I suppose. sunoco 260gt is pretty common for 100 oct, maybe MS109
