an update for those watching this thread, i checked and tested on my Mustang various differences in GK292's BCM, BCMB, BCMC, HCM, LDCMA, and LDCMB, but nothing seemed to recreate the issue. they also mentioned the indicator being laggy and not smooth. i ran out of possible ideas
this seems to have gone under the radar, but Ford massively improved the GTD page on their site sometime recently.
https://www.ford.com/performance/mustang-gtd
here is what i have managed to find there plus the ford media site
- top speed of 190mph or more
- 7550RPM redline
- what looks like a...
turns out i grabbed the wrong cupholder part. this weekend i will still see if the one i got works, but the correct F-150 part number is actually ML3Z-1513562-CB
yeah, i can only really imagine someone doing it if they have tons of money and time to burn, have no interest in a warranty, and for some reason are dead set on keeping their current Mustang. the good thing is you can still do the brembos without the drift brake
@GK292 could you please send pictures of the connectors that plug in to the headlights? also, can you PM me your VIN? i suspect that the programming of the LDCMA/B or BCM has been modified but i spent hours trying to disable my sequential front turn signals so i could find the source. i also...
i compared the old cupholder from my Mustang to the one in my mom's 2022 F-150 and without tearing apart the center console to check them side by side (im 99% sure my mom would not want that), it seems like it will be a close match. Monday i will order the part, and i dont mind tossing $15 to...
i did some looking and this is what i found out about the cupholder situation
Fusion: No Matches - no ambient lit cupholders
Continental: No Matches - cupholders only offered in expensive assemblies
Navigator: No Matches - cupholders only offered in expensive assemblies
Ranger: No Matches - no...
the ways to really fix this would be:
1. Ford adds MyColor cupholders to later S650s
2. someone 3D prints a custom cupholder for the S650
3. a better match is found than the Lincoln Corsair
the Lincoln Corsair cupholder seems to be a much better match for the Bronco, as shown in this forum, but...
i used the parts
LJ7Z-7813562-BA - Lincoln Corsair Cupholder
ML3Z-1513562-AA - F-150 Cupholder Inserts (ordered 2)
FR3Z-14A318-K - Mustang Cupholder Lights
i also used tessa tape to wrap the wires and give it an OEM look and routed the wires behind the control stack so i can add a wireless...
added MyColor cupholder lights. it was so hacky to get that lincoln cupholder into place, but i did it, and it doesnt look that bad
i also put in cupholder inserts from an F-150
ford released 24E05 yesterday that re-programs the BCM and ensures auto start-stop works properly. unfortunately, since this is an emissions recall, it will prevent new vehicles that are affected from being sold
